Try that tutorial again but make sure to use HLFix when u go to compile. Trust me, I had a complex little piece of brush work done on a Goldsource map done b4 I moved on to the superior Source engine, and this was the only way I could compile it like I had it in Hammer. The standard method just wouldn`t work.

STFU ZL (and to a lesser extend Orph). I don`t even HAVE TO resize it at all. I could just leave it at 1280x1024, but I`m nice enough to take it to paint and reduce the size to 75% (I may be nice but I`m also lazy :P). If u don`t like it, then sux my ballz motha fucka, cuz I don`t give a damn.

go ahead saw. I have a 128MB x300 and a 1 gig of RAM and my PC survived. In fact, I`d say my memory and CPU go through greater turmoil when I try to compile an experimental map in source.
Ok, I just finished walking through this map and all I have to say is...OMFG. It is beautiful, and so detailed. I don`t recommend this map if u have a sub par computer though. My 128MB Radeon X300 was getting about 10 fps in the 'colossi' room.

Why must we choose one or the other? I may not have a next gen console yet (cuz MS will eventually release an HD version of the 360 w/ HD-DVD and HDMI in it, mark my words, the PS3 costs so much, and I want my Wii in black...aside from the fact that I don`t have any money to buy any of them :P), but I will own all 3 eventually cuz there are must play games on each that won`t be out on other consoles, like Gears/Halo 3 on the 360, Resistance/Devil May Cry 4 on the PS3, and Metroid Prime 3/Supper Smash Bros. Brawl on the Wii.

I recently learned of a new laptop hard drive that will be available soon after the official release of Vista that is to be marketed towards gamers (as well as another groups of which I can`t remember), and I thought I`d see what gamers think of it. So here is a quick poll to find out.

As for an image editing tool, you could use an open source tool called The GIMP. It`s just as powerful as Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro, but is not as user friendly. You can find the Windows version here.

Tawnos was given to me by my business teacher a few years ago, as my code name to keep the marks 'secretive', as in so other ppl don`t know what you got. The name itself is the same name as an old character from Magic: The Gathering.
I used that for a while, and then one day my mind was wondering off on it`s own again, as it so frequently does, and I ended up tacking Prime onto the end of it. All of a sudden, I had made a good name better. So, I just kept using it.

I'm strongly opposed to this...now. At first I thought it was a good idea, having the popularity, or lack there of, affect the price of said weapons. That is until I tried out a map that was posted here, went to but a Deagle at start, and saw that it no longer cost $800, but over $2200! What are your thoughts on this?

And why do ppl always complain about the format I post my images as. First it's the php and png format for being to large for u still suffer from dial-up-lamosis, and now it`s the gif for reasons I don't know. Why must ppl whine on the net?

The caution bar texture is the temp, RS. I started texturing it, but it's tricky to get the angles right to keep the flow going, so I'm going to finish it when I texture the rest of the map at the end.
Yeah, Trapt, I psoted there too for the guys over there to enjoy as well.
I'm not sure wtf you're talking about pepper. It sounds like you're refering to modelling or more advanced brushwork, while I don't know about.

Granted, but the quality of the game suffers greatly and upon finishing it, a glitch in the code proceeds to crash your hard drive, corrupting all data.

That is possible. Hadn't considered changing wallpapers. And I do believe that multiple displays w/ different wallpapers is possible.

1 - You have 4 monitors. If you do, sa-wheeet setup man.
2 - Your running Linux. As a standard, they allow you to have multiple desktops simply by clicking a button on the taskbar.
3 - You have multiple computers set up that you use for different things.
At this time, I can't of any other possibilities or know of any proggies that let Windows have the multi desktop capacity that Linux has.
