I started HL2 on hard just recently... its not really that hard...

Anyway, I'm not trying to brag or anything, but I've just recently started a new map cs_haunted2, and I'm incorperating every bit of architextural skill have to make a bone chilling CS mansion map. So far its going very well. Here's two screenshots, though the screenshots aren't up to date with what I actually have on the map.

Whats different about what I have done vs the screenshots:
-There is a chandellier where those sprites on the ceiling are
-the sprites on the ceiling aren't there
-The lighting outside is darker
-There's simply more stuff.
-The walls made of light textures where halls and doors should b are just blocks I used to seal off areas that would be a leak, don't worry baout them.

My answer: No, it would certinly be a tragedy if the one you loved died, but it wouldn't be worth it if everyone else would have to die instead.

Its probably something along the lines of:
Nihilanth was coded to use his teleporters provided that the info_tleport_destinations (with the specific names) exist. I've never actually tried this, but it could easily be found out through decompilation.

Use the null texture around the inside of the sky, thus eliminateing the sky all together but not causing a leak. But env_fog does affect the level itself. What are your settings, maybe its too big.

Change r_fullbright to 0, then change the map to the map again. r_fullbright only takes effect if you change the map.

Check his brightness, either on his screen or his brightness level in the console. The command is "brightness" and the default is 1.

Updated, now has the red laser cross in the aim point.

I really don't consider this "ripping" off someone elses model. I made a hard effort to redo the original model and gave all credit that was due to the original modelers. People hack models and release them all the time, why can't I?

Could you explain a little more? Are you trying to close the compile window before it finishes? Does your compile window "freeze" when you try to compile a map?

Well I didn't "really" make the crowbar either. But I took the peices from the model and redid the model. I didn't just slap 2 models together if thats what you think I did.

You'll probably have enough, turn the shadow effects down to low, as they are the biggest video killers. Also change refelctions from "reflect world" to "simple reflections" From there you should be good.

I think the bullets go something like this:
9mm/5-7/P90-1 unit wals, maybe 2 or 3 units.
.45 ACP/.357 Sig-4 to 8 units, maybe.
Deagle/rifles- over at least 32 units
Scout/g3sg1/sg550-64, maybe more, probably not
Awp-more than 128 units!
Galil/famas-maybe 32, probably less
Machine gun-around 64, probably about 70.
