Yes, he gave me the rights to use it..

It is a place holder until we get a new MP5 with animations and renders,,
wich might take a while. (replacing the SMG)

I have made a plan for the first mission!
(I made consept and made the swat plan,, it is bulletproove, ;) )
The first map name is T-TAB. It is a small store that was robbed by 3 men.
No 911 call, but the man at the register activated the silent alarm..

The nagisiator was shot while entering..
All the windows was blocked (the terrorists pressed the close down button so on each window is blocked by a,, well, I guess you guys know what I mean, I have no word for it. :P )
So. The plan: (wich will be shown on a paper outside by a instructor..)
You will come down trough the floor (not in the middle of the store, but in the layer section)
then you will rescue the hostage wich is found in the bathroom against a wall and a terrorist aiming at him..
The walls are sound absorbing so you can kill the terrorist without being noticed by the other 2 terrorists wich is inside the story main room trying to figgure a way to get out..

You press the close down button in the layer section that will open the windows (and outside the windows, there will be placed out 2 SWAT officers that will have a clear shot at the terrorists)
Then, you run in through the door and helps your team to take them down..

When I get this concept scanned (friday, maby thursday)
I'll post it here, and you will see what I mean,, ;)
It is a realistic plan when you see how the store is build.

Looks like it would be a good gun for the terrorists..
But it would require more coding though, there is only 2 auto rifle spaces in normal HL2..
And I did notice, that in the benelli info, they said it was a favorite for the police, and ALSO for the citizens, for protection (sick, but true?)
So this would be a logical use of weapon for both terrorists and SWAT.

Found some info about the M3,,
According to this, it has 2 different fire selections, Automatic and single.. But we can make it,, I hope, ;)

Yes,, it do look a bit,, uh, cartoonish? (I didn't find anything in the dictionary)

I think it is the colors,, they are to strong to look real. (The brick wall)
If you only make a brick wall, and make the colors much more "week" then I think it will look real.

But If you think about it, you make it look like graffiti or,, decals.
So save that tecnique, it is quite handy while making decals I bet ;)
The SA80 doesn't seem so,, swattish, :P
I was thinking about changing the SPASS 12 into a Nova pump-action..
I'm not sure what model though..

Ok,, you know that they use the same source, materials are both used for models and normal textures..
But if you only want to do "normal textures" then sure!

Uhh,, I don't think P90 and five seven uses the same amunition..
Or do you mean that they have the same size? (caliber,, right?)

Hmm, It seems like I only know the names but I don't know so much about that subject any way..
What do you think fits with the mp5 then?
We do only have space for 2 different guns.. so,,
I first thought: Five seven and Desert eagle!
But I don't know any more,, ^^

Maby a glock! MP5 and Glock both is 9mm.

Ok, that leavs out brushbased doors, we will have to use models.
We'll need one more team-mate who can make prop models then.. :)

BTW, we just lost our SKINNER, he was to buzzy with school.

Oh, sorry, I didn't tell you.
We will use HL2 as "base" and rebuild it..
We will remove functions like Plasma ball and granade luncher..
The crow bar might be replaced with a knife (?) and if that happen we will make knife sounds.. :P
All weapons will not be used in the mod..
Every time you finnish a map, you will be stripped of your weapons so you can make a non weapon scene in the next map..
You will be armed before you "move in" and if you try to move in before you pick up your gun someone will stop you.. blah blah blah..

That's a part of the idea.. :)
We will not show any of the HL2 weapons.
You will as maximum have 3 weapons when you move in, that will be: knife backup gun(five seven I think.. ) and your primary weapon, (MP5, P90.. maby some other choices..)

Oh, and every new mission will be as a new chapter..
We might (MABY) remove the ingame save function.
So every time you finnish a mission, you'll lock up a new chapter.

Then, you will be able to browse betwen the missions. ;)

I disslike to steal stuff, and the mod will be of better qualety if we have our own guns/models.. :)

(we might steal the CSS player models if we don't get a player modeler in time.)

I found this flash game a while ago, I didn't play it until today though.

In this game you have to concentrate and use your mouse to get the dot to the goal.
You have to move the mouse reverso of course.. ;)
If you tuch the wall you will begin on the same level as you loosed on again, so you do not have to redo everything. :P

Game: REVERSE

Wich level did you manage to reach?

Rules:
*You may only loose 3 times (tuch the wall or some other object 3 times)
*Noclip is not allowed :P

Man, I'm screwed..
We'll just have to use the omega address (Maby make a DNS? DNS have rarly support of sessions though, wich makes you able to login. :P )

I'm not sure what to do, without the password I can't remove the site and make a new one with the same address (I think)
They can't mail the password be cause it is de crypted..

On topic: Slasher_101; there will be no mapping work in the coming week, I think.. Well yes, maby 1, I'll make a concept on tuesday, if I have any time.
That map will be for our test alpha, beta, demo, bah, what ever you say in this game language.. ^^
Any way, this demo will only contain 1 (maby 2! O.o) weapons and no new models.. It is only to test the code. :)
I don't think I'll make it public but all team members and beta testers will have access to it..
I think it will be ready in, 2 weeks! :)

Wich reminds me of,, We need a beta tester!

So if you would like to test our early versions of the mod please replie! :)

The thing is, to make less coding, we just replace weapons,, and name the animations after the old ones,, and removes functions such as plasma balls or granade lunchers.. (coding part)

I have posted about this before,, but,, meh, to long ago to post a replie that no one would notice, and, the game is a bit of a new idea now..

S.W.A.T. mod is a SOURCE mod.
Idea:
Replacing all the different combine soldiers/police models into Terrorist models and replacing 2 (maby just one) of the Citizen models with a SWAT model..
This will build the ground of the game..

If every thing works out as planned, this mod will have realistik damages (1 shot 1 kill in head or cheast, 2 shots in the leg or arm, and so on..)
wich will require a bit coding, I think?

Ok, here is the thing,, We need help!
List of what we need.

-Team leader's (this will include story writing)
-Concept artists (?)
-Mappers (Both MP and SP)
-Coders (Not much at all! Just a few remakes!
-Modelers (weapon only)
-Skinners (A few small remakes.. I would have done it my self if I knew how to handle photoshop.. >_< this job might also do skins for weapons)

I thought you didn't need that.
A func_tracktrain already has an origin propertie. Turn on helpers to move it in the 2D views, though you can manually enter coordinates as well.
Do you mean the ball in the middle of the brush that is tied to en entity, it fills the same function as a origin brush
(for example, when you make a brush based rotating door, you put that ball on a place at the door where you whish to have the "turning point")

I wonder what program valve used then,, well, I have heard that there is some editor named "cool editor" or something ( =P ) where you can do loads of effects with sounds, for example, making it sound like you are talking through a radio..
One of me mod team members are using it,, I'll ask him about it. (I bet the program is free)

Why not? I just played Opposing Force because Blue Shift reminded me of it and i'm glad I played it as it's a good game with a sad ending and moving music ;)
Meh,, I find it less,, uhh,, (dictionary I KNEW IT! exiting..) exiting to play the game when I already played an other game with the same story one month ago.. ;P

I do miss opposing force though,,
