You can create evil barneys with spirit and opposing force. Spirit allows you to change who's side they're on and how they react towards you. In opfor, set him to be suspicious. For some reason, the suspicious property does nothing to otis and cl_suit scis. And with normal scis, they just stand there doing nothing.

It's not actually fair. People like tlax and slayerA have loads of trophies, and if I ever get any, chances are they will get some more, so they will always be ahead because they started first.

N64 was the best. XBox is probably next, but I got a GC because I prefer some of the games on it. Then PS2, the GC. I didn't get PS2 for the same reason.

Idle animation only works with some anims. Decompile the model with ms3d and open up the qc file in notepad. Scroll down to see an animation list. Some of them say LOOP at the end. Those ones can loop. Some say other stuff, like ACT_IDLE, which means that it will be one af the random idle anims.

And don't say: Get a d/load manager like getright: Getright is crap. It doesn't download stuff. I start the d/load and it stays on 0% for ages, never updating.

It's a nightmare for me. The majority of files act as if the download is complete when only about 20-50% or so is finished d/loading (The window closes and beeps, just like when something has finished a d/load). As a result, because not all of the file has downloaded, it won't unzip (Claims it's been corrupted or something). Is this just my crappy computer or is it the site? I only ever get that problem on this site. Downloads from other sites always work fine.

We need a panel of judges which is good. Why don't we let atom enter though? I'd like to see his maps. He wouldn't be a judge any more, but it would be interesting. Otherwise, atom and andy would be the main judges. Maybe Seventh-Monkey and SlayerA, although that prevents them from entering and I assume they want to enter.

It's just the texture, not necessarily the brush. Sometimes, I make big one unit thick doors, and set the whole thing to fit, not just the visible faces.

It's caused by textures being shrunk too much. Sometimes, it becomes so thin/short that it's size is 0.00 because it's so small. Just increase the size to fix it.

No, 'cos the void has a hall of mirrors effect. At least it does in openGL.

Console down and type "gl_clear 2" Vassy, HOM goes away and you get a nice shade of red (Ed: Andy)

You ARE stuck with the edited ones unless you use them as monster_generic, yes. But there's no actual modelling involved.

Not with fiddling with the fgd. It's editing the heads/weapons etc. of existing models. EG: Grunt with walter's head, barney with mp5. I can get it to work every time. And to guarantee it works, it replaces stuff rather than editing it. It's replacing premade stuff with other premade stuff!

No, we cannot possibly have a member vote. It would be so biased. Kaptain_Krunch would kill the ratings on mine like hell, I would kill the ratings on cpl insane's 'cos in the last contest I would've come third if atom hadn't found his map at the last minute. We really need a judge, since the member vote would be biased. I'm sure of it. To involve the community though, we should have polls for the topic like in the last compo, and maybe we could have a member vote as well as a judge vote for the winner, and add them all up. There would still be a bias, but less of it, since the judges would have a say, and the site admins and forum/MV admins could control it to make sure people only vote once or something.
