Lol, knew to mapping , how would i place the trigger and set it so that the door only opens from that side... and i dont want to have to physically push a button to open the door, it will work like a normal one where you run to it and it automatically opens... but only from the one side.
Wanting to make a sliding door, but only so that it opens from one side... although the idea is that you dont have to press a button to activate it, any ideas?

Well, couldnt ifnd any, this is all i got in the hammer folder after re-install.

Yeah thought so, its just easyer on my user lol. I dont get into the map thats the whole problem. It attempts to open a 'New Map' window but it automatically minimises and freezes. And it happens on both hammer 3.4 and 3.5
Also, im sure its to do with the settings, cause when i first installed it and it worked, it was in wireframe so while i was changing it to see the textures i accidently pressed a setting and thats when it started to freeze, any suggesions ?

Yep, my hammer still isnt working, i open it up , its fine, i try to start making a new map it freezes. Well i tryed again and its still happening.... i've tryed re-installing and stuff but nope it doesnt work, yet it works on my brothers user on the same PC.... any suggestions? :S

and hunjter.. ive mapped for hl2 before on my comp worked fine... just could never play the maps. Also ... HL2 will be able o run on my laptop... heyyy wait aminute.. why dont i ...yeahh could map on laptop intead of pc... but laptop dont have connection ... and you need steam for everything these days...which requires connection.

Right, my hammer 3.5 is not working, and hunter hasnt came to fix it yet.. so i thought hey i could install HL2 and source SDK and get working on that... problem is my pc specs are ok... until it comes to the graphics card. Half life 2 takes FOREVER to load up and jumps in-game... i was wondering is it worth installing it and being able to map for it, or not. Oh and if anyone knows of a way where i could make it run smoother... please tlel me 
consoles are all well and good, yeah good fun for the bedroom, but once youve completed a game... thats it lol. Online gaming on consoles is good for the simple reason that if you play online PC alot then the console is a getaway , something diffent... and THATS about it...

MAC is already the shizz for music equipment... i love pc's and hate macs, but for music it has to be mac.... does anyone think that one day mac will take over, even if we stand by our good ole pc's?

So no actual way to fix it .... and the problem with 3.5b is that whenever i use it it asks for my configuration, its ok the first time, but after the 10th ..11th....12th it becomes a second language... but as hunter knows i dont do languages... basically, its a pain in the butt... and one that shouldnt be there

Just re-booted my pc after virus problems and such, i re-downloaded hammer 3.4 and all the tools, set it up for Half-Life and then pressed File>New. The 4 windows never appeared, only Map1 minimised in the bottom left hand corner of hammer. Then the pc freezes and says that hammer is not responding. I Re-install hammer and the same still happens. Anyone know how i could solve this? ... I would download hammer 3.5 but the last time i had that, every time i entered the programme my configurations were lost :S

Very good, the plots are getting more well-laid out with slight "out-of-character jokes" about the game which is very amusing. I especially liked the idea of G-man crowd surfing. I look forward to number 7.
