pfft, you dont need photoshop to make textures, just use mspaint. You aren't creating the texture, really, you are just converting an image into the right dimensions.. pish-posh, stop procrastinating, and do it.

Why dont you do it yourself, it isnt that hard.. I bet if you google DDR Pads, or DDR machine, you will get tons of pictures. You do know how to put them in a wad dont you? Good luck with the DDR machine though. And if you plan to make it functional (like a mini-game) I wish you even more luck, because people have tried it, and it doesnt work too well.

in "Why do we Swear?" Post #183875
The term Shit came from the old days of shipping. They used to ship cross-country on trains, or internationally on boats, all kinds of cargo, all mixed together. They used to ship cow manure, for fertilization processes. As you know, this material emits flammable fumes, called methane. When the manure was packed in closed quarters, the fumes would build up, and one way or another, would ignite, either from the coal powered engines, or another form of combustion. They weren't going to just stop the shipment of manure all together, so to eliminate the build up of the fumes, they would store the manure up higher on the freight liners, and boats, so the fumes wouldnt build up (because fumes only rise). this made them label all manure-type products: Ship High in Transit. or SHIT
I dont know if you belive me, but, that is the explanation I was given.

You can't have a moving func_breakable in CS.
Sorry, I have to be an ass, even though you just mis-stated this. You can have a moving breakable in CS, it is with the func_pushable and the "Breakable" flag ticked. But yes, a func_vehicle can not have the properties of a func_breakable.

Sorry for the 2 week thread bump, but I had this happen to me in Blue Shift, and it wouldnt let me continue. period. In the very beginning, right after the tram sequence, I hop into the elevator with the 2 scientists, and they go "hey stop that, what are you doing 'araghhhh'" and drop dead. Every time this happened, it said "terminated due to hostile behavior" or something like that. I loaded a save from halfway through the tram-ride and it still borked. I ended up creating a new game, and it worked fine after that.

yawn
All valid points, and I dont have the energy to argue them, but I want to say that I dont like the 360 either.. that one seems just like its predecessor. There are only a few reasons why I like the Wii, and they are because of the controller, Zelda, and Mario. And yes, Nintendo always seems to fail when the new systems come out, but this time they have the better idea, and they aren't just cloning their previous system with better graphics. I hereby resign from this thread because of sheer lack of energy, and time.

Wow, Sony is Pathetic, everything they touch, dies. Mainly Everquest, and their changes to the PS*. It took no creativity to make this new console, it is no better than PS2 in my eyes.. Even the controller hasn't changed.

Pardon me if some of what I said doesnt make sense, I could go on longer on an anti-sony rant, but I just woke up

I noticed blackravent's playlist there, and I see the startings of David Bowie - Ground Control (to Major Tom). I don't want to sound Like a Nazi, we have enough of em around here anyway, but the song is actually called "Space Odyssey." Just if you felt like updating the title :)

Dominoes is a game consisting of lining little platic or wooded pieces next to each other corresponding to the dots painted onto them
User posted image
These pieces are easily stood on end, and at one point, someone decided to line them up and let them tumble (similar to as seen in the video). When objects react in this way (on action causes another action to occur) it is referred to as the domino effect.

I'd rather follow Rousseau and Hobbes.

and yes, you are wrong. =P

The fact that you haven't studied philosophy doesn't make you wrong, it makes you ignorant (not an insult) you haven't been exposed to other possible thoughts, which kind of limits your potential to make an educated decision. (also, not an insult, don't take it that way)

I hope this is relevent. I haven't been following this thread entirely.. meh, nothing is relevent in this thread anyway.

Honestly, this map looks great! And for a person who is inexperienced with terrain, you are doing a great job.
As for the skyboxing, you dont need to follow the curve of your boundaries 100% exact, you can just suck your skywall right up to the edge and overlap (not intersect) the walls on the outside, without going under the map itself. I must say, keep up the good work, this thing looks nice.

And for the record, I only pee'd myself one time while playing WoW, and that was because we were running Wailing Caverns and I wanted Tail Spike from Skum, and I couldn't wait! Honest mistake I tell you... now I have a bed pan.
