in "Black Mesa: East" - Texture Artist! Post #176988
Hmmz, might work if the bm: east website had something on it to show off already, most people don't like joining mods with nothing to see, unless they know the mod leader / members.

anyways i don't know why i'm even looking at this, i think i dropped my level design skills somewhere behind my bed! and you don't even need those :D

make a torus and build brushes around them. or make a hollow pipe and make it cricle a bit using the make-bends-in-pipes-method- witch you should know :P

it is a bit blocky yes ,but it's a nice basic plan, just needs alot of tweaking hehe, the lighting is also quite boring, try using smaller spot lights, that usualy works good in such dark areas.

in Difference between a 128mb and a 256? Post #139635
the difference is 256 won't suck up as much of your normal ram as it takes longer to use all of it's own ( i think ) , but if you have like 512+ ram this won't matter as the main ram consumed by a gfx card isn't very high, it'll only realy matter if you have like 128 mb ,or maybe 256 in your pc itself.

most 128 cards are still better becouse of the cost and qualaty, there isn't much good affordable 256s out there yet.

in prop problem :( Post #138978
Hi there,
I've got a litle problem, i've been looking ofr an answer all day but none seem to fix it, so i thought i'd post it here ( tada! ).

Props do not apear in my map.
I put in a prop physics in my CS:S map, it was a spool model from the de_prodigy ( i think ) map.
It's not the fading distance or whatever, i'm thinking its just my bad bad bad pc letting me down once again, but could it possibly be something else?

My specs:
Amd athlon 1.2 ghz
ge force 2 mx 400 ( 64 mb )
256 mb SD pc133 ram
( don't think there's much else in it.. )

Thanks in advance for your replies. : :glad:

in New Source Map (Work In Progress) Post #138915
i would say that wood ( as i'm assuming that's what i it is in the first screenies.. ) wouldn't be used in a space station.

An well the other 2 screenies i realy don't know what's going on in them :), textures on the second image are fine though :)

( it will enable internet players to join , but if you jsut password it after everyone is in no-one will join it :) )
