You don't need a logic_relay for this. You can do this with one trigger or multiple triggers. You said you want the lights to turn on AS you walk past them right? So set up multiple trigger_once's, each next to a light. And set it to "OnStartTouch > Light1 > Turn On" Then go to the second light and do the same thing except set the outputs to, "OnStartTouch > Light2 > Turn On" Ect.. Now if you want the lights to turn on at intervals by themselves, just use one TRIGGER. And do "OnStartTouch > Light 1 > Turn On >With Delay of 2" Then in the same trigger just do the same thing except make the numbers higher. "OnStartTouch > Light 2> Turn On >With Delay of 4"

If you didn't get the host_timescale command to work you should check out Strider's example map on it, it's a really cool effect
It is not that I didn't get the host_timescale to work, it is I didn't get the bind to work. I figured out point client commands cand do bind.

Looking cool so far. A good idea for the slowdown effect is to bind "host_timescale 0.3" to a key. And then bind "host_timescale 1" to another key. I tried to do this before with a client command but it didn't work. So maybe telling the player to do that.

It's not that CS needs more weapons - it just needs different weapons. Honestly, throw in a nailgun, flamethrower or RPG in there.
Duh, it wouldn't be Counter-Strike if you threw them in there. It would be more like TFC. Also it would be noobish as hell considering it doesn't take much to kill a person in CSS. (Talking about health not about skill.) You would get complaints in every game. Plus for it to make sense only the terrorists would get them. Then that leaves the CT's at a disadvantage.

The Steamball was from the movie "Steamboy" It contains infinite steam that can power the whole Steamcastle. The whole 360 thing he did was a joke to show both of his models. And he didn't make the 360 EXACT size, and even if he wanted to he could just edit the .qc file and recompile.

All engines (in terms of mapping) are basically the same. They ALL can have leaks. Half-Life (2) 's engine isnt the only one.

Are you guys crazy! I think the lighting is superb! The whole effect of the light shining in through the skylights is awesome. And you say it is critisizm, but you can at least do it in a more civilized way, instead of saying "prop work is poop, texturing is HORRIBLE" say "You need some props" And then Explain WHY the texturing is bad. What you would do to fix it. What props you would use, where to put them. ect.

Good lighting is colourful and spotty
How can all good lighting look like that? Considering in Real life not all light is like that. What if you were making a map that was night time? And it was outside. It would be really hard to make it "colourful and spotty." Also that is not a fact, it is your opinion; it would be more appropriate to say 'In my opinion good lighting is colourful and spotty."

As for MY critisizm....

I think the map looks awesome. The lighting is awesome, and you got some unique architecture going on. SOME textureing spots could be better. Like Ant mentioned before, in that pic where concrete meets plaster wall, I would make another concrete texture that is more blueish. I think you should add more props as well, in a Half-Life 2 Deathmatch map you need alot pf phyics objects. Try to make at least two or three physics object in each room. (Not EVERY room just like the main ones.) You need them for the Gravity Gun fights. In a normal map is someone is getting mowed down with a AR2, he can quickly put up a radiator or something and blast it in the other guys face. If there is no props he will attempt to kill him with the SMG and get pwned. If you are worried about performace issues use occluders INSIDE the walls. That way when you are in another room, when you go behind the wall ALL the props behind the occluder will not be rendered. Also using "props/vollight" would look good with the bright map you have created. I think is looks awesome, and I am definitely puttingi t on my server when it comes out. :D

Why arent they adding new weapons to HL2!? hey are making TONS of models and other crap for Episode 2 why not make a new gun? I THINK they wre going to have a sniper in HL2. Type in "box" in the model browser. YOu will see a model that says 'Items/ammo/box/sniperrounds" or something like that. And also flare rounds!? What happened!? And why is the crabsynth only in the game for like 2 seconds?! It has like 20 animations including like "attack" and "charge". Was it becuse of that guy stealing the Source code?!

Search for a definition of life. Living cells are alive. The question is not whether you are killing a living being (which of course, you are) but if you are killing a human.
Take a cell of that "being" and compare it with yours. It will most probably have the same amount of chromosomes than you >> it is human.
According to a lot of people here, a foetus becomes human "one magical day" which is undefined. Up to that unknown magical moment, it has no human rights.
To some people, "life" begins the day the baby is born. If for any reason the child is born prematurely, how much do we wait to consider it alive and human? Is a baby of a 9-month birth more human than a 7-month born?

I have an update firmware in my router settings. When I click it, I get a search box that asks me to search for a file to upgrade. Will the file be on my PC, or all of them, or only one that it was first set up on?

EDIT: Never mind, I did it. I needed to go to the site, download the update, then browse for it in the router settings. :)

What kind of model was it? Try hitting "Refresh SDK content" in the SDK menu. I remember when I used to map for CSS when I added a hostage entity, as soon as I looked at him in the 3D window it froze. So I just didn't look at him.

Wow point spot lights (if not properly used) can make your FPS HORRIBLE! Just like Satchmo said. I had a map that was like 10% done before, The FPS was like 120, as soon as I added a point_spotlight it went down to like 30.

There is no evidence that each mosel takes up -1 fps. No one can prove that considering the FPS is dynamically changing constantly, also considering that the engine doesn't render models sometimes, (if properly optimized.) so therefore a model would take up nothing. Models arent very expensive. When I made my dm_ravenholm map I basically put occluders everywhere and it incressed my FPS by like 10. I had ALOT of models. (And no I didn't go nuts placing occluders.)

I recently sent a tutorial on optimization to Seventh-Monkey I am just awaiting him to put it up. So maybe you can read that when it is up. :D

You need to optimize better. See "Controlling Visabillity and compile times" in the Valve WIKI. The engine is probably rendering the whole map at once.

Also 60 FPS is good. Anything below 40 isn't good. And 20 is REALLY bad. And of course anything above 40 is good.

Wow I just got a random update for HL2DM, DOESNT EVEN say it in the "view update list." Now I can't join any servers because it says "Server has different class tables" How can I fix this!? I wish Steam wouldn't FORCE you to update, I also wish that when they update something it Doesn't cause problems!
