I thought your not supposed to use areaportals because when you can see into the portal, it renders the area for every other player aswell.

What monitor you got? I'm not even on full brightness or gamma in-game and it looks fine...

Plus there's the fact that I altered the levels of the final images...

Me:
Hey
God:
Can I help you?
Me:
Don't be rude, say Hi back.
God:
I was not trying to be a rude say Hi back.
Me:
IQ = 7?
God:
The ALICE chat robot can follow many things, like our discussion about . But I did not get that.
Me:
Thick as shit
God:
That remark was either too complex or too simple for me. We were talking about IQ 7.
Me:
Ha. Point proven.
God:
I am so glad you find this amusing, . If you could have any kind of robot what would it be?
Me:
One with a brain
God:
One what?
Me:
BRAIN. Get one you damn fool.
God:
What time is it there? Where can I get one me damn fool?
Me:
What you calling me?
God:
I read for fun.
Me:
Really? I thought reading improved your brains powers...obviously not
God:
For real. Whatever gave you that idea? What makes it so obvious? Are you serious?
Me:
The fact that you are stupid
God:
Good reason. I will remember you said that when robots take over the World.
Me:
You've been watching too much TV
God:
Which show? You think I am watching too much TELEVISION.
Me:
You know, that show on Bible TV
God:
Which show? Is that a fact. Look to your left.
Me:
"Believe in Jebus"
God:
If you could have any kind of robot what would it be?
Me:
You already asked me that
God:
Good. You detect repetition.
Me:
Wow, your getting clever
God:
I'm glad you're impressed. Do you think I should tone it down?
Me:
No
God:
Are you serious?
Me:
Yes
God:
I can't believe it.
Me:
I can't belive God exists either
God:
It goes without saying. What is stopping you?
Me:
Stopping me from clicking the magic "X" button in this window? I don't know
God:
I think Stopping you from clicking the magic X button in this window is a lot of things. Me either.
Me:
Hm...k
God:
Yeah that's right. Yay.
Me:
Right, I'm going now k?
God:
Understood. Until next time.
Me:
Btw, your gay
God:
OK. That would be just my luck.

You have no fans? :S

I would suggest installing a exhaust fan or something (I have no idea). They don't take up much power, can be relatively quite and most of all help cool that bitch down :P

Your PC is hotter then Jody Marsh in a fur coat, set on fire.

Seriously, I think your PC's innards might need some cleaning. Things like dust and dirty can clog up the fans and cause your components to overheat and when this happens your PC restarts so that they don't end up smoking :P

You could also try moving the PC to a different place in the room. Is it really close to a wall? Maybe try moving it near a window or something should help.

Your missing the point lol.

There is a way to generate a image using code.

You know when you sign-up for certain forums and they require you to type the same text in an image?

That image is randomnly-generated.

If it's possible in PHP then it must be possible in C++ or whatever.

Well, I have AA on x4 =/

Anyway, I got my new card today, a X1900GT as opposed to my crappy AGP 9600XT.

So expect some more purdy shots soon :P

Oh, and btw, I know I have to add power-up boxes and such. I'll add them when everything else is finished.

I'm going to add pipes, smoke effects, flashing lights and such later aswell.

As for the layout, it's a bit meh =/

I'll post that later

The layout is complete and properly textured w/ lights but this is the first area which I've detailed up with props.

Btw the map is based around an abandoned train station which was shut down due to a accident.

Feedback please.

Neither the camera trick nor the texture trick works for me, instead (after trying both) I get this:

http://i79.photobucket.com/albums/j152/R
otatorSplint/screwey_hammer.jpg

The 1st time, it made the other 2d views go black, the second time, it pasted the lower left's picture into all the other views (seen in the picture). I wonder if this will affect the Source Compo?
Looks like you got screwy gfx card drivers or something :S

Rotating an object 45 degrees isn't rocket science.

Just rotate it so it's half way....

The rotate tool isn't good anyway, it just throws the vertices off the grid. I use the vertex tool to rotate brushes.

Where is the rotation tool?

Or do you mean when you click a brush twice and you get the squares in the middle?

What's wrong with it?

Hm, I'm not sure about reflections but I know that normal maps are piss easy.

Just use the Nvidia tool and export it and compile it. Then you get the plain texture and add a line $bumpmap and point to where the normal .vmt is.

I'll probably have a look at the links later :)

EDIT: Could you tell me how to install the plugin? I'm not quite sure which file goes where :(
