I'll see what I can do. I'd use Cartograph G but it hasn't been updated to support 1.6 yet. :/

If you're talking about an interactive world viewer using the Google Maps interface, give some suggestions, these are pretty tough to set up.

Is it possible that you could release your C# version of Compilator under a GPL compatible license when you get around to doing it?
I still don't really want to make my code public-ally available, but I'm willing to share my code (entire project directory at that) with you so you can see how to implement it in Sledge. At least I get some bragging right. (I designed the Sledge compiler!)

I've been saying this for a long time, but I really want to release my current built (Compilator 3 Version 3.0.0.00, Beta 1.0) to the public even though the application isn't perfect. I guess that's why there are beta's, eh? While people are toying with it, I want to move on the Compilator 4 (working title?) and move to C#.

Damn guy, you're good with C#. How do you know all this stuff, specifically all the 3D stuff?

If you're so good, you shouldn't have much trouble designing your own built-in compiler and have that replace Compilator 3, because, and let me be honest with you, the current version of C3 isn't that optimized and contains messy code here and there.

One suggested to implement C3 in Sledge, but I don't know if that's a good idea. Maybe later. I'm planning to rebuild C3 in C# this time, as I've been using VB.Net up until now.

Rimrook suggested to start over. I'm fine with except that we already have a couple of structures up. They are going to be lost if we do this, unless copy/paste those in the fixed version of the world. I've never done that before so I'm not sure how to do that.

Ok. I've temporary taken the items out of the chests so that no one can take any before I start to work on this. I took screenshots of it so I know exactly how the contents of the chests were layed out.

I have yet to do the enchantment chest though. If you can and want, you can fill the chest with items.

The server has 8 player slots and is located in Amsterdam.

This is a whitelisted server, so if you want to join, give me your Minecraft username so you can be whitelisted.

When you play on the server, I expect you to play responsible. Don't steal, don't grief and don't be a dick towards other players. Be nice, and have fun. User posted image

Currently the map is a 1.7 generated map with extra large biomes.

World overview renders:
Flat overview world render as of June 15th 17 mb, 18672 x 21536 (this may bring your browser down to its knees)

Right now the server is vanilla, so no mods.
It has 16 slots available and is located in the Netherlands so hopefully it won't be too laggy for you US of A'ers. :)

Enjoy!

We could do that. With the new Minecraft Launcher you can create seperate Minecraft versions, with mods included. It's just a matter of selecting the one you want to play with when you want to connect to the server.

But the problem is that when you remove mods, things don't work anymore, items will disappear and blocks will stop working.
Maybe we should go with vanilla first.

Doing a TWHL version of Mindcrack Ultra Hardcore is just a side idea, and you DON'T HAVE to participate, there's also going to be a world of regular play (survival mode though, not creative mode).

PVP works great in Minecraft, especially when you're playing UHC. Mindcrack UHC is crazy popular on the Youtube channels of many Mindcrack server members such as BdoubleO, Docm, Kurtjmac, PauseUnPause, just to name few.

A local server is obviously not feasible. I actually meant a rented server. I'm willing to get one if there are enough people to play on. I know we had a Minecraft server in the past that died due to people leaving and being mostly empty, if that happens, we just simply start a new world so everyone can start fresh again. We could even introduce some mods.

Mindcrack style:

• Play with UHC (Ultra Hardcore, no auto-regen, heal only with golden apples or regen/health potions) mode on for the first couple of days.

• We can also schedule our own UHC series like Mindcrack Ultra Hardcore (TWHL Ultra Hardcore?) in which players don't automatically regenerate health even if they have a full hunger bar, and death is permanent. Members of the TWHL server will randomly spawn in a 2000x2000 world to fight each other to become the last man standing, alone or in teams.

I happen to watch the Mindcrack UHC Season 12 currently going on on the Mindcrack server, it's very tense.

And finally we can use one of those TWHL Planet maps that Rimrook made as our initial world. I think that would be fun. :)

in Engine limits Post #314263
Not sure, but I think nodes define the space where a player can go. Even if an area is too small for the player, it will have nodes. You can use CLIP brushes to tell the engine not to make clipnodes in such area's.

If you compile with -chart, you'll see a chart with all the engine limitation, current values and maximum values. -chart works on CSG, BSP, VIS and RAD.

I think they do, but your brightness (1000) should be way higher. Look at the other brightness levels, it goes up to 50000.
Also make sure hlrad actually recognizes the lights file and processes the entries, so check your compile log.

in Valve Hammer Editor 3.5.2 Post #313818
So yesterday I started playing The Challenger Deep 2, and, as always, I go through the mod's readme text file for anything important. I found out that the author (DocRock) used Valve Hammer Editor 3.5.2 as the mapping tool. Wait. What?

Turns out that VHE 3.5.2 is an unofficial update based on the latest 3.5 beta released by Valve way back in... 2003? Not sure anymore, but this update has some neat new features. Go here to see the changes.

Vluzcans hacks are included but are not applied yet. Just run the executables and follow the instructions to apply the Hammer floating point patch and the Hammer grid hack patch.
