I suppose most of the enthusiasts( not saying I wouldn't be enthusiastic about it!) here don't have to travel from 30-40 hours and make several stops in order to switch planes. Also pay about 2000 euro for a round-trip - economic class - can you imagine 10 hours sitting in such a seat? I've travelled 11 hours by train before, and if it hadn't been for the landscapes, a book and the sheer luck of sitting next to an engineer who had a lot of subjects to talk about, I would've gone mad.

Anyway, you do realize it's a USA party what you're talking about. USA is hard to travel to if you don't have relatives because you can hardly get those visas or what they're called.

I'm at the end of a 2 month internship in Javascript. Don't know if I'll get hired, my performance wasn't terrific, plus I'm a Telecommunication(+Electronics +Information Technology) Engineering student, and the faculty is unforgiving. Even if the situation is unclear at the moment, at least I learned a couple of interesting stuff and I can do more complicated web apps now(if I don't forget all the stuff, since I have little time to practice).
So, I hope I'll be earning my first money until next year somehow. I never had friends to do anything for me in this sense. I'm on my own, for now.

Then, in a world that strives for unity, something that is a must in a century where we boast ourselves with space exploration and expeditions to Mars, how does this event fit into that perspective?
I know, there are other bigger problems in the world at this moment like the conflicts in Ukraine and the constant battles in Gaza.
It just makes me think, as an outsider...
When we will finally reach a common goal for pushing our human limits off Earth? Isn't it sad to know that 50 years ago the first man put his foot on the Moon, using computers slower than your common smartphone today? Where could we be today if nations were more united and governments less corrupt?
I might be a dreamer, but I'm trying to understand what the heck is happening in this world, when the path we must strive for is so obvious and we keep making childish mistakes.
