Not sure if I need to upgrade my computer so it runs hl2 at a decent fps. I know nobody has the game, but from some personal computer stats how well do you think I will be able to run it?

The buyzone is a enity, though their is no way to place ammo clips, that I know of. Just place a bunch of the weapon you want around the map.

Umm, i'm not expert ask anthony lol, and this reply is't a absolute solution, more of a insane insight to the problem. The 'push' direction can be altered useing the compass, and since this is based on the x axis your only going to be pushed side to side. Now I'm not sure but their might be a way to flip this so it works on the y or would that be the z? I'm not keen on the subject lol.

armadillo your my man/fury little creature, x-box is by far the dominate console when comparing it to g cube or ps2, though the classic super still does it for me, halo and gta vice seem to keep it good.

Well my fresh map seems to have hit that wall agin where it seems to vanish into thin air and yet I can see it right where its supose to be! Alt+p = No map errors 100% no leaks. I have run this map before during early stages of construction and no problems.

Now I do have steam, but I use the retail version of cs so I never installed hl for steam, so I see no conflict between the two. My compiler also does not seem to refresh?! If I was to build a map save it with a new name, it would not be found, if I ran it agin it would run fine. Hence every time I changed something I would have to do the same process, doing twice the work. .

Now i'm not a lazy person so compiling and testing out a map twice and only seeing my changes on the second try is not a problem. But when it gets the point when it does not work anymore I get mad. .

I already started a new master plan. Haveing read the little item on leaks in the h/w craft help index I have adjusted to what can cause my map not to compile, and with the aid of all you. I don't think it was a leak but something else. Oh well not it won't happen agin :)

Go into your 3d window, look at the decal you wish to delete. Unclick any tool you might have selected which includes the decal tool. Now choose the selection tool and selected the decal, wether its via the 3d window or any of the 2ds ( which one you find best ) when its selected (turns red) press your 'Delete' key. This should delete the decal.

Hope this helps, my first advice :nuts:

:zonked: I design a map, save under the name of something like 'level1' in my valve map folder. Slap that F9 key and Enter. Half-Life starts up,console and my map does't load "map change failed could not find 'level1' on server". . . . Valve is trying to end my mapping hobbie. . :nuts:

Can somebody plz help this desperate Outlaw?

Yes I know strange title, but it does my problem justice. Also since this is my first post I would like to say hello to the community. HI. Now I have mapped out two rooms, very basic with a equally basic func_train evaluator that connects the two. The only semi very minute detail in either of the rooms is the flooring on the first level.

I tied the basic brush to the enity func_wall and set its render mode to soild, 250 ect, works fine (though not sure if this is the problem ). The texture is "{GRATESET3". I placed this brush/enity almost at the bottom but not all the way so i could place lights down, giving it a nice look ( I thought ).

With every other map I have compiled and run I have never had any light "issues". ( not allot only been mapping for about 3 days :] ) Now when I compile and run this one my room is completely self lit, not even a shadow. Being the little black messa scientist, I deleted the few lights I had (which note were only set to about 20 brightness, small rooms ). So after completely wiping my room clean of any light source I ran it agin. Same problem, was hopping for that pitch black look, did't happen..

Could some of you more seasoned vets help me out?! :nuts:
