I dont believe that its possible to cancel it mid sequence, as its supposed to be completed. I am not sure about this though fully as I dont really do GoldSrc Modding now (Im more of a source 2 modder / Mapping)

Make sure the Landmarks are at exactly the same position and height, as stated by the tutorial that explains it.

Unified SDK wont be able to use WON Versions of Half Life as far as I know, so you wont get a version probably. as for the Models and stuff, just ask your stuff in the GoldSrc Forums

Well, source 1 and goldsrc tutorials are there too, and I dont wanna keep switching sites, just if I want to see different tutorials, and I have looked on there and habent understood a single thing, I learnt it all by myself, which I think should be self explanatory ( aka tutorials should be made simpler)

I would love a category with Source 2 Tutorials, I would make them myself, I would just need someone to set up the page since I dont understand how to, it would follow a similar structure like the goldsource tutorials. I would also make some tutorials on the layout of hammer, whats changed and how to use it for cs2

Hammertime is like normal hammer, although a bit more modern, I would if you want ofcourse, include some articles for some Stuff about Hammertime

I know this hasnt eeally been active, but I would write some tutorials for hammertime or trenchbroom, hammertime is a fork of sledge which is supposed to be as similar to base hammer as possible

Sledge is an open source level editor for Goldsrc.
Unfortunately not being developed anymore, and the Tools and Resources page says "Unfinished and rather unstable
use with caution"
I use a fork of sledge which is quite finished and not really that unstable, you should try it sometime

Sledge has some forks of it on github, im using a fork of sledge called hammertime, which has prefab support and a lot of other things being added!

So, you shouldnt worry about overcomplicating, just build how you want, and in the end you can optimize it, but as for right now, its not overcomplicated!

I used the bspfix but it always crashes when trying to run a map, as for the fgd, i will use it now, thank you a lot, I just downloaded xblahs tool ,since that helps me a lot too, but thanks for all the tips!

I got it gifted from a friend along opposing force (which I played through) but I like blueshift more so I wanna map for that, how can I start? Also just for Info I read this Wiki but Its for normal Hammer and not for J.A.C.K, which I mainly use, so is there anything I should know?

Thanks for all the Feedback, im still quite new to mapping (only my 3rd map after my ruins of black mesa maps, check out my lambdagen for those) Thank you for the tips of not including the wads, someone on lambdagen didnt have those so I needed to include them, next time I probably wont just to save some file size, for the light sources, I just placed some random lights in the level, since I dont have any prefabs availibile, and im too overwhelmed by trying to make my own lights, I will update the map soon, I already have a better ending planned, so dont worry bout that

I mean I can think of some rooms like I said, I just asked if people would have some (additional) ideas for some rooms so I can practice some detailing, cause it wont be good if I just use my own ideas cause then my brain is gonna make these room ideas easy af which I dont want

Just set hammer++ up with bms, and it seems to work fine, gotta make some maps first then i can give a more accurate answer
