This aitn going anywere unsless we get a decent site and forum, how can people expect anything to be done in a forum thread, ive spent a good 30 hours modeling already, and so far i have no idea/cleu where were going, since things changed last minute.

As a leader you are supposed to do most of the things, or atleast try to learn things, like modeling and texturing, on that way you earn respect from your team members and your able to assist them and give them constructive critism.

I though you knew all of this?

I'd say that the mod won't go very far untill we put all of our ideas together and decide what exactly this mod is gonna be about... Why wait for the new forum system. We can decide the most here...
Thats how I'd see the mod:

You are the leader of a 1337 SWAT squad called "Blue thunder". Your name is John Martin. Nothing bad about this name, but it's much like John Smith, if you know what I mean...
At the start of every mission you will recieve a briefing and the plan of the assault. You will be able to choose/buy? your gear before the start of the mission.

The equipment:
The weapons will have no crosshair and will be aimed like in real life. You will be able to choose/buy? different kinds of kevlar vests, helmets, boots (make you run faster). The game should have all three kinds of grenades like in Cs, maybe we could even think of more, like fragmentation grenades (grenades that explode on impact). The weapons would be a couple of different SMG's, some rifles, a shotgun, one or two smiper rifles. We should also be able to have special equipment, like lockpicks, toolkits, door breaching explosives (C3, i think) and more.

Movement:
The default movement will be walk, you will be able to select run. (the opposite of counter-strike). Your movement speed will decrease permanently if you get wounded. (e.g you won't be able to run when shot in the leg).

Story:
All the missions will be related with this terrorist guy, who is causing all kinds of mayhem. The story about the terrorist assaulting a small gun store is pretty unrealistic, imo. I suggest that the brother he's about to kill would work in some kinda bank or sumpin. I also suggest that some of the storyline would be revealed within the missions, so that the player would want to go on playing them. (like in HL, where at the start you know ~20% of the real storyline, and at the end ~99%).

NR.1, not SWAT, special forces.
Ever played Rainbow six? That's where I got my idea from.

To make this game realistic, I say, BOOM, No buying!
At the end of brief, you may pickup a gun and amo, but, sometimes, P90, wich is the best, might not be avable?
Or, some one else took it, (remember, the SWAT dudes are replacing the citizens, wich on auto picks up the best weapon the can see)
So, you pick up the gun on brief.
You also see the plan and instructions and stuff..

My idea of movment is just like yours, while hit, move slower (if leg)
But, if you are hit in the arm, you will aim worse.
Standard movement Walk.

Story:
The one I posted before, can be re-seen at Our moddb account
But, I've said it before, it could use more realism.
Like, the dude with the gun in the begining, was arrested for murdurer?
And they found him and he got that gun and the tatoo and all..

The Equipment:

No crosshair, realistic AIM.
And, again, no buying.

Not much more to say for now though.. :S

And if hit in chest with a weak wpn, both your aim and movement spd gets slower.
