wel alexb911. I first downloaded this from the compo just after it ended. I and was impressed. Its a really cleaver idea and obviously took a while to produce. The map is definitly not fullbright, as 'I' have played it.
Hunter, at least leave structured comments that will be of use to the creator. Dont judge a book by its cover is all i would say.
The idea is great, even if the screenshot doesnt show the whole picture. Nice work, far better than my entry for the compo!!!

I really liked this idea as it mimicked an organic transport tube really nicely, but the looks of it pulled me off and the somewhat troublesome workout works against it too. I got stuck several times, almost killing me.
So, the idea is good, if it was for the idea only I think this was the best one, but the workout let it down a lot.

First of all it's not fullbright. Second of all, it does have a xen feeling. Maybe you should download things and not judge from screen shots?
The idea is awesome, I've never seen something like that before. I had the urge to try to jump into the waves as opposed to on them, but the opening was too small. Oh well. Maybe try adding some low gravity. It was pretty short, I must admit, but I think if you cleaned it up a bit and made the caves less like a box, then it would fit perfectly into a xen mini-mod. 4 stars for the idea.

Beautifully constructed map! Reminded me of Battlefront maps a bit!
+Lifts! +Great ambient sounds +Death scream pwns! -Maybe a little more to it, or make each leg of the wheel more different -texturing a bit bland -architecture lacking in places--I did love the central spire though!

+Beautifully constructed and great custom textures1q +Great lighting +great props--some a little off scale though -no ambient sounds--a real let down
Texturing is great but maybe flows together a little too well to give it an overall slightly bland appearence imo. Perhaps a little more variation might do it well.
Also it's missing a real central theme. Where is this place? What do people do around here?

This map is beautiful. Probably the best looking map which was entered. However, its beauty was hindered by its horrible gameplay. 1nsane created a sexy map which used the Z axis better than any other entry, but all of the thin catwalks and props made it very difficult to move, and doors completely buggered up the flow. The map used the rules better than other entrants (such as the Z axis and the RPG trap) and looked awesome, which is why it got third position. It is also worth noting that even though I created the layout, I often found myself confused about where the hell I was going. Odd.
The entry featured the best RPG trap. It was difficult to reach, and although not incredibly dangerous to get, it worked very effectivly. The entrance to the trap was easy to find, but not incredibly obvious, meaning that the adventurous players should find it quickly.
Overall, a beautiful map which was spoilt by bad gameplay decisions such as doors.

pretty good!
+ layout. great for getting the adrenaline pumping! + size. not too big, not too small + you are right. the fps are darn good!
+/- lighting. a lot of light seemed to be coming from nowhere! +/- more ambience sounds. you can never have too many...well...mmm
- texture application - seriously dude! - i got a bit bored quickly. maybe some interactable sequences, you know, like falling boxes, a computer explodes when you press a button around the corner sort of thing. - at some points, like around the glass windows, you should add a sort of frame, it looks stupid with glass touching very bottom... or is that just me being fussy!?!?!

You are truly the master of eye candy, Rimrook. The map is just absolutely beautiful! The only things I'd fix is: Add a mystical ambient sound (something that would fit the theme) Add some trees at the green areas, although it's not 100% necessary.
The architecture, texturing, idea, lighting are simply astonishing! Beautiful... 5 thumbs up!

This really needs more work. What you should change: Texturing. Scale upt the textures on the big walls, they look very pattern-ish. Architecture. It's alright, but the map lacks of detail. Gameplay. Do as Hunter said. Ambience. Some ambient sound would be quite nice.

Beautiful. As CP said, its a bit like Escher's house of stairs, etc. (one of the first things I wanted to map, but never did.) Very pleasing on the eye!
I swear!!!! and triple post happened by accident i refreshed page and reposted oops did you get the pm?
a neat effect

Oh, and you run in software mode? Why not OpenGL?
the name thing is well pardoned. Many, many people get it wrong.

judging from screenie, poor architecture. too bright (fullbright?) and lacks xen feeling

Oh lost coast is out woohoo!!
that's ok id people pronounce it wrong, but spelling it wrong is kinda different. especially if the correct spelling is right infront of you...

My favourite room was up in control, where you could activate the turrets, and then watch the carnage!

Simple, check your compile log. it'll say stuff about not being able to find textures.
will that work?
As for other things, i'll have everything tomorrow, 10/28/05 hopefully.
I'll make a HLDM map-pack. that includes them all.
It's also good that things runs nicely online. Though I should make less enging-straining maps...
if you need an awsome fy_map or killbox map, let me know!!!

I loved the custom textures like the switchable animating for some of the teleport 'walls' and the hell ones too!
Lots of nice elements but missing that certain something, mayber just a more concise central theme.
Nice job!
