As Urby pointed, work on something else for a while. Get rested from all the mapping :)
And you will be good as new to map some more!

As for me, I'm working with vectors, my 6th vector (unfinished):

Oh i see what you mean, that would definitely give the out lines a more powerful/better look. But it would have been a bit hard to trace with double lines in such a small image, if you ask me...

Thanks for the tip :)

I guess you should try drawing some hand drawings and then vectorising them and coloring, that should be interesting, i am also doing this :D

@ Xzec

Hmm... Since a second entity controls the whole thing, maybe a way to stop it on each round... I know it can be timed... I will have to think about this one, or if our genius Captain Terror thinks of something :P

@ Captain T

Thanks! Haha, id make sand castles xD
Also i agree we should make a PDF out of tutorials, that would be nice. Big Book of Mapping, remember that? :D

@ Archie
It doesn't really, well not clearly noticable, it only reduces Audio quality by a small factor. I uploaded 420p things that have 320bpps 48KHz audio in them.

Yeah, i think Arduino would be a nice choice for you too Daubster.
Ive been talking with a friend of mine, he is an electronics engineer, Aurdino seems like a lot of fun in todays digital age. You should give it a go.

Also, i am thinking of getting me one of those, so, save your knowledge Striker, we might just need it :D

You would be surprised how many people that graduated software making and do that kind of thing don't really know things about hardware at all.
I know many people that are software engineers, but have no knowledge of hardware what so ever.

Kind to think of it, they don't really need to know more than basics, because they will never need to have any contact with internal components, unless thats in their field of programming for of course.

A few months ago, my friends brother asked from us to install windows XP on a system with 32MB SD RAM, lol. And he programs software for the Electro distribution company.

I really need to get into Arduino, I've heard so much about it, but never used it.
But i still prefer making a protoboard model with analog electronics + LCD screen + micro controller and than plotting it and finishing it on a vitroplast board.

I was comparing older with the newer models, and this tape is much newer than 3.5" floppy.
They both use tape tech to store data, so you cant compare it with an SD card, because an SD card is a micro chip.

Also, CF - Compact Flash - cards that are used in cameras these days are SSD's. You can use them as hard drives, because they work as IDE devices, on older computers, or newer if you want large storage space on a small place.

Also, Captain, dont buy shitty SDs from companies you never heard of, always check the speed of the card and the warranty. The bigger the warranty the bigger the chance is it will last longer.

Thanks guys :D

And Captain T, yeah, they are slow you know, but, they are useful when it comes to a low cost MIDI station. My uncle plays at a local restaurant every day, and he uses a MIDI sampler/processor and iOmega 250 ZIP drives. He can store a lot of MIDI instruments onto those, helluva slow, ZIP drives. It is a bit slow, but once you load the instruments into the processor there is no need to do anything more, you just play and swap.

Haha, well, than, it was ALL about quality. The more quality you can provide to your customers and the market, the better reputation you gain. Almost all Sony/IBM/Samsung/etc electronic components, made in Japan/Germany/Korea are top quality.
I have an old IBM thinkpad laptop, its a brick and a half, but its made with quality. Inside its like a swiss watch, the casing metal protection is out of titanium, and the processing power in it is way more than any non-brand than could give you.

Today, stuff is cheap, but because its cheap its cheaply made. GOOD quality things are very expensive, and they do last a lot, but little companies make their things to LAST and WORK and not with a reduced working hour, like icrap and stuff like that.
One IBM Thinkpad that is kick ass costs up to 5000$, but it works and does not let you down.
Some professional TV Studio camera manufacturers give life time warranty. When it breaks, you put it in a box, write a not "This shit be broke" and send them. Next week you get the same package with a note "Fixed". :D

You really need to sit and think when you want to invest into something you will use.

If you have any questions, i will gladly answer em, i can even tell you more about things you find interesting (electronics). I finished Audio and Video electronics high school.

Opera has around 1100 extensions, out of which quite a lot of them can be useful.
Fire Fox has probably much more, but how much is actually useful?

I use YouTube downloader and YouTube Loop extension for my browser. I also used an image fetch plug in, but there was no need for it.

Of course people still use Opera, its the only one who invents things, other just copy. New fire fox should be called Fire Opera rip off Fox.

Micro$oft should focus IE to be more secure and very extremely stable.
It is an operating system browser, it needs to be professionally made.

They should also make 2 versions of their operating system, one for tablet and laptop users, so they can play farm ville and games, and one stable for those who use computers more professionally and wont rape it with all the dumb addons and programs.

They really need to add professionalism to their systems, i want a system that will work for me, not the other way around. Industrial standard mo fo.

Gldsrc, I really would tell you some bad things right now, just because you act so WEAK.

When i was in grade school i used to be rejected for how i acted, because i was not interested in the "cool" stuff. I used to get into fights, i got bet up and ive beaten. Once i even got beat up by a whole 6g rade class (i was 8th). I never allowed any one to talk shit to me.
I never liked talking to people, nor hanging out with people, i preferred being alone and doing what i want to do. Even now i prefer to be alone, but no one can stand being alone.

I did not blame my self for what happened, i did not wonder why is this kind of thing happening, i fucking understood why. i understood that its better to be your self and who you are than fake it just to be accepted by others who have no interest in what you do what so ever.

Do not allow others to judge you because you are different, and do not allow your self to be let down by that.
You decide what you want to be, and what you want to do.
I went trough the exact same shit as you, but at a way younger age. I was accused for everything, i was the one to blame, i even remember my kidengarten teacher (You must go to these placed at age 5 - 7 before grade school) even used to slap my face, beat me up for no reason. But i did not let that go down on me, who is she to judge me and tell me what to do and disallow me to be who i am. Ive been trough many many things in my life, but that did not let me down, i know who and what do i want to be, and how do i want to live my life.

Don''t let these things get you down, you can do what you want, dont become something you will regret. Go out and find some one to hang with, don't think you will be rejected upon your looks or your social status. Be who you are.

Pay attention to the "Game crash" warning as it is the usual case of map crashes when using this technique.

Also don't forget to make the start time 0.1 and not 0, as 0 can cause the map to crash and/or other game bugs.
That said, when deactivating something, lets say:

00laser1 0.1
00laser1#1 2.1
00laser1#2 ??

Do NOT start it after it is deactivated (00laser1#2 2.1), give it 0.1 seconds freeze time (or more if you need it):

00laser1 0.1
00laser1#1 2.1
00laser1#2 2.2

And remember not to use long entity names, for example (i use):

0lsrmm (Laser control multi manager)
0expmm (Explosion control multi manager)

UNIX is the base of the operating system, is like NT in Windows.
How i know, they are all Linux distributions, and they are all special for something.
I don't really know much about the depths of GNU/UNIX (to the detail).

When you look at it, comparing it to the most popular systems today, Micro$oft is the only original one.

I am getting parts that can be used. Most of those old processors and stuff can be used in old computers such as Atari, Amiga.
I found a processor that can be used to upgrade an Amiga 600 from its original 7MHz to 12MHz, which is a HUGE jump in processing power.

I wouldnt wish that xD
Radiation and stuff, very bad :P

Oh wow cool, missile silos, i always wanted to visit one, especially those nuclear silos that are deep under ground!
Most abandoned stuff here is still illegal to enter and is guarded.
Military stuff is military stuff :D

Also about the IBM, it was a newer model of an older PC from 1991, not 1986, still i wonder why it has a PCI slot...
Update, scratch the top part, the IBM is from 1987, and thats an MCA slot - Micro Channel Architecture

Quite interesting.
