Sounds like you're blowing a simple "I miss keeping in touch with you" a bit out of proportion. But yes, giving a girl less attention is often a good way to get her attention.

All of you posters seem to be lacking in something....my guess being common sense and morality, which leads me to beleive you are either democrats or Europeans.

"49cc engine?! sorry that's one of the dumbest things i've ever seen."
I believe that's the only clever thing about the car, a more powerful engine would have made it (even more) lethal ;)

Come on. Does it really matter? It's not like they're going to sue him over his compo map. It's not technically legal but the chances of repercussions are... slim.

But, yes, potatis is right - there are global copyright agreements and you can copyright pretty much anything anywhere. This being said, go ahead - use the song. I'm fairly sure the KGB won't make you go away.

You need to put cg.dll and cgGL.dll in SteamApps/half-life, and make sure you don't touch the standard steam hw.dll and sw.dll. Really common installation mistake =)

If it's apartments there should be some kind of landlord. Who are you renting it from?
Commented 14 years ago2010-03-16 17:29:16 UTC in journal: #6447 Comment #61888
Apartments? Talk to the landlord. Otherwise I find it hard to believe it's thtat loud, use ear plugs.

Go, for sure!

I've turned down a lot of oppertunities to do stuff just to stay at home and do ... nothing at all. I later came to realize that doing so is extremely stupid. Don't repeat my mistake ;)

For legal file sharing - absolutely. The issue with bittorrent piracy is that there has to be a centralized hub that someone can be held accountable for.

Public bittorent trackers has been a dying breed for quite a while... I'm guessing services like rapidshare and usenet providers will be increasing their revenue in the near future.

"What actually happened to the Source version of Flat-Life Chickenfist showed here?"

I might have accidently lost the source code, and couldn't bring myself to redo it. :P (although I hadn't really done much, it was pretty simple)

Fall sucks.

It's been raining constantly for the last few days. They also said on the news the other day that the temperatures in the northern parts of Sweden have been cooler than Siberia this year.

So, yeah, Tito - wanna switch? :P

+1, potatis.

Also, hey, you're sixteen. Soon enough you'll reach a point where everything becomes a lot more awesome - the best times are still ahead of you, don't worry.

And hey, if you want more Crysis there's an expansion for you to play too. :D

And there's a bunch of American history stuff in Fallout 1 and 2 too, since they take place in America ;)

I started to write a hacky tool back in the day that kind of did this for Hammer 3.5. It sent the map data to a server each time the map was saved, and then reloaded it for everyone connected. After a compile it'd spawn a server and add everyone. It worked, but it was... dodgy. Can't remember how far I got with it, either. :P

I saw it yesterday, and it was awesome! Not exactly a cinematic masterpiece, but I really don't care because it was extremely entertaining :D

Explosions, Megan Fox, fast cars, Transformers, a lot of random jokes and ze doctor with ze german accent. The end battle filled me with glee.

... there's probably a twelve year old inside me fighting to get out.

Striker, dude, c'mon. What's the difference with learning your child what the name of a computer part is/what sound a cow makes/identifying different animals?
  • The cow says?
  • Moo
  • Good, the CPU does?
  • The fundamental operation of most CPUs, regardless of the physical form they take, is to execute a sequence of stored instructions called a program. The program is represented by a series of numbers that are kept in some kind of computer memory. There are four steps that nearly all CPUs use in their operation: fetch, decode, execute, and writeback.
  • Very good, son, very good.
No but seriously, when you step in and tell a parent what to/what not to do with his kid, especially when he's a pediatrian and you're a kid yourself, you're on quite shallow ground...

Also, about the antibiotics - it's a good thing that he's a bit restrictive with prescribing anitbiotics. Docotors that prescribe antibiotics to everyone even without evidence of a bacterial infection is bad, since that increases the amount of bacterial strains resistant to antibiotics.
