Funny you should mention it, I have been trying to complete my horror themed mod for the last two years. However, when I say "complete" I mean to say "start". I think I have restarted roughly six times, I personally blame lack of planning and mappers block.

Aww, I have lost one of my three cats and he now rests in the garden. It does hurt when they go, even more so when it's as premature as mine was. Shame life has to end especially when it's someone close. Feel sorry for you Atom.

You should be glad, you're around people with a similar experiences and hobbies. We don't ALL get on because of the 'safety monitor' we all curl up behind, but we're all the same really. If the whole of TWHL met up, I can see us having a truly epic time.
Safe to say I have been here a decent amount of time myself, not hugely active but I lurk often and help out were I see fit. I signed up and made myself comfortable.

The map has been improved significantly. Plus, I think you might have discovered the cure to the infamous 'Mappers Block' by using anger.
Detail 8/10 The detail is pretty much on par with most goldsource maps. However, the map is tiny so much more detail could be crammed into it, I know it took 7 hours to create it but surely that bland hallway on the second floor could of at least had a curve to it.
Layout 6/10 You had to recreate the map from another so this can only be similarly bad to the predecessors layout. It is very bad and gains nothing from not 1 room containing a window to the outdoors - I know it's in space but the front door doesn't have an airlock (only the rear door) throwing realism out the window, ho ho ho. One thing I tend to avoid in a DM map is doors that open slowly, especially doors that open slowly with a button; automatic doors that open on approach would of been fantastic and create much smoother gameplay.
Ambience 4/10 All I heard was the overly loud sparks Wave file being played from the bathroom...all over the map. The forcefield that blocked the hole in the roof had an ambient, even that was a little loud. That's about as far as the ambient goes apart from the doors. :/
Atmosphere 9/10 It's in space, it has planets on the skybox texture, a sweet looking shield surrounding the little floating island and a mailbox. Minus the rather hilarious mailbox due to it being an apartment and not a house (nice touch though) the map does give the sense of you being in well, space. Not much to critisice on apart from ambience.
Textures 7/10 The textures are a fresh touch to this map, the textures give give a sense of you being in space with the futuristic metals and light-hovering tables n' beds. The textures are all there but I do feel as if some things were missing like the lack of futuristic technology, not enough screens, computers and those neon lights that we find ourselves calling futuristic in Neo-Tokyo.
Lighting 8/10 The lighting was between 'good enough' and 'lacking flamboyance'. The green underside of the hovering furniture and pink glow from the explosive...crates (I suppose on a SPACE apartment) but what let it down for me was the typical futuristic syle of choosing electric blue, it's not exactly original. Still gets an 8 though.
Placement 9/10 Placement is as good as it gets in DM with powerful SMG grenades being hard to reach and moderately powerful weapons being everywhere else.

I used two func_rotating's and reversed one of the directions. I did have to make both parts seperately so they would fit perfectly between each other.

This map is very well made, but I can't help feel all the misaligned textures (textures being the main aspect of the competition) really ruin the amazing geometry. It's almost as if you have slapped the textures on afterwards with little regard. You could have a massively impressive map if you fixed this; you could improve the lighting to do different things with the textures too. Don't take my critism to heart, I just wish to help you improve.
Apart from that the geometry is absolutely astonishing.

Hugely late reply to and old journal, but this got fixed a while back. The solution was: I rang Dell and they sent me new RAM. Problem hasn't consisted.

I have been playing that a lot lately. I find it's only fun with friends. And usually play realistic, high density, 1 respawn, etc.
If you use smokes and thermal vision you can take out up 10 enemies at a time without them even seeing/shooting at you. Smokes seem to give you more cover than walls.
I also find that enemy cpus using the AUG PARA just seem to absolutely own players, but when the play uses the weapon it has no damage and fires incredibly fast and inaccurately.

I can open the case (due to it being an openable case without screws) but I can't unscrew anything inside or take stuff out etc. due to voiding warranty. Memtest I had run and it was fine although I can't do that again now because it's dead and will not boot anymore. Like I said, it will be swapped shortly and should get a new/fixed one in a couple of weeks tops.
Thanks for the time and advice anyway. Much appreciated that people wish to help my situation.

Ha ok Urby. I wanted a PC from a well known company, because the first PC I ordered was from Mesh Computers and they went bankrupt a couple of months after I ordered one. Luckily, I paid on credit so I had insurance.
The crash does occur more frequently ingames but has been known to freeze whilst just streaming my desktop etc. It does only tend to happpen when I am doing something rather demanding. The more grapically intense, the more frequent crashes become for example, Total War: Shogun 2 crashes before I can even get ingame and when it does eventually get ingame it crashes after 5 minutes (on ultra settings - shader 4.1). However, Garry's Mod on max settings I can play for days on end or leaving it running over night and it will not crash.
A while back I had a look at power saving modes on the AlienFusion service which comes with most Alienware PC's and has been known to clash with Windows' power saving. I had disabled AlienFusion about 3 weeks a go and the freezing continues.

I know but i'm not a hugely hardware informed. It would end in a computer that really wouldn't go together.
I'm quite happy with this PC, if I could get this crashing fixed I would be sorted for the next 5 years or so. I went with Alienware due to reliability but it kind of punched me in the face a bit.

Forgot to mention that it isn't that. I have tried leaving the side off and monitoring my temperatures ingame like, running games windowed and having SpeedFan open at the side so when it does crash I could see the temperatures. They were ranging from 30-50, GPU being 50 and the cores being 30-40.

I have yet to see any problems in Firefox after using it for the past year or two. Firefox is just IE that is safe(r) and loads quicker. I can't see what more you could need from a browser. Not to mention it works.

Overall 7.2/10 (4 Stars)
Note: IMO.
Nope, the featured people are coming together on a project - Probably 10 more Scotch N' Coffee videos related to TWHL.
Plus, TWHL4.
Apart from that the geometry is absolutely astonishing.
Good luck anyway, Caption Terror!
[EDIT:]
Done.

It makes enough sense.
(Hard to be different, isn't it)?
Get well soon!
Thanks for the time and advice anyway. Much appreciated that people wish to help my situation.
Still got warranty so it'll be going back and I should have a working new one in no time.
I guess this journal is now over. Chin up, right?

I have one of those monitors, tis pretty awesome.
On another note, Dimbark has another 4-5 years.
Anyway Luke, glad you had a great time.
