Captain: I don't think 3D printing gun parts would be illegal, considering 3D printers generally just print in a soft plastic which would be completely useless for functional gun parts.

I suppose it would be of the same legality as having a lathe and iron working tools and making iron gun parts.

After everyone incorrectly assumes he's two months late to the post, he'll come back and say it's a new patio deck.

A SNES cartridge in its box is a collectable item? What is this? I have a bunch and I'm not going to lock them in in an acrylic case, I'm going to USE them.

The difference is that online services normally include backups and redundancy and stuff.

Well, it is in your best interest not to make mistakes, even if nobody's life depends on it.

As an Architect, I will be responsible for the safeness of all the things I do, from parks to high-rise buildings. Parks don't kill anyone, but just like with any other potentially lethal building, I still want to do them as best as I can. Because I'm doing this not "just to get by", but for the pleasure of making the world a better place.

But it's not all like that. There's low-risk engineering where any fuck up will at most cost you money. It's not as awesome as space and stuff, but you know the saying. With great [power|awesomeness] comes great responsibility. Or something like that.

Laptop keyboards don't allow that. It's very easy to hit Esc instead of F1 or ` or even `, Delete or Insert instead of Backspace, and whatever random misstrokes depending on the random layouts made by laptop keyboard makers. Even with labels, sometimes I hit the power button instead of Esc (yeah that's a shitty design)

I've only played a few minutes alone while I wait for the mp server to roll it out.

It's a great revamp and I think everything flows better than in the original. Rooms have better proportions and distances, although I kind of liked the balconies slightly wider. The RPG is harder to get, but I have fun riding the thing up to the thing.

Can't wait to see it on the server.

Excellent map. A bit rough around the edges and I got stuck in level geometry a few times, but it plays great and it has a pretty good dynamic.

It's probably the best map on the HLDM server and definitely amongst the best dm maps in TWHL.

Who the hell lets you scan exam pages? I'm quite sure I'd be frowned at if I was even seen taking pictures of it with my phone. Where are A*, B3, and B4?

I could (maybe) do B1(a). The answer to the rest would be "Fuck You". In bolder lettering each time.

This is why I quit engineering and moved over to Architecture.

Great map, I like the floating platforms although I can barely ever reach them. Movement inside the silo is weird and glitchy and often I die for an unexplained reason (strange clipping maybe?)

Acceptable map, interesting intentions, but the dead ends are a bit weird and the train-boat feels tacky. Also I have a half decent computer and the best I get is 1 FPS on this map. Rating killer, shouldn't happen with a current computer on a FIFTEEN YEAR OLD ENGINE.
Commented 10 years ago2014-05-04 04:58:02 UTC in vault item: DM_Rust [Beta] Comment #20549
Looks promising. Compact and without obvious dead ends, seems to keep things flowing. Let's see how it behaves when it goes on the server.

Constructive criticism: The light is a bit too cyan-ish especially outside, it looks odd next to the gray skybox.

/me holds from rating until non-beta comes out
