Wait wait wait, THE Jimmy?

The infamous Jimmy that has been banned 100 million times and I've been hearing about non-stop since 2007?

Looks fucking awesome. Those pipes look pretty natural IMO. Perhaps a single wooden board running along the length of the bottom of the outside two pipes that would keep them from rolling under the pressure. Kind of like a wedge?

A pretty minor detail, you've got all the important details mastered it seems. Awesome stuff!

I'm with Strider. FEAR is a horror-themed action FPS with "SURPRISE!"-type scary moments. Nothing more.

A horror-themed real-time strategy game would still just be a real-time strategy game with creepy audio, dark graphics and blood.

Amnesia or even Condemned are more up my ally.

1 heat shrink connecter: 10 cents

1 soldering iron: IDK cuz it's way more then 10 cents

That's that IMO. All you need is a pair of pliers and a lighter or something to beat the previous idea.

Yes, my teachers were very understanding! on the first day of my history class my professor basically said "it takes me 45 mins to get here, longer than any of you! There's no excuse for missing my class!" and i looked him in the eye, out of a class of 60 kids, and when he saw me I just shook my head while maintaining eye contact. It took me an hour and a half to get to the building. I let him know that, and he understood.

Teachers are not heartless! You can do fine Striker.

Sounds like how my first attempt at college was. Different classes miles away, had to walk, take the subway, then walk again to get to one.

Of course I was not the only person at the school coping with that, lots of kids did. It just wasn't for me. I did at least finish the whole year, it's not like it was a game-breaker.

As intimidating or senseless as it seems, you could certainly get used to it and get yourself on a schedule to complete the year. If near the end of the year you don't feel you could do it for a few more years, start organizing for a transfer to a different school? That'd be my advice. Take it as you want.

ctrl E is a staple of my mapping. i never use paste special, when i get into my next mapping spurt i'll have to try utilizing it. the other two i use regularly. Although cordon compiling i had never used until Tetsuo informed me of it. I was compiling whole maps to check out one tiny little change for years...

wow lol, that's intense. I've never had SP. I've only even been lucid one time and it was very brief.

Usually I just dream and ride it out knowing I'm dreaming but not choosing to alter it. If it's one of my days off I'll go back to sleep after I wake knowing that I'll dream again and wanting to "finish" the dream I was having before I woke.

SP sounds like some intense stuff.

Yeah cap't, I knew commuting was manageable and that tons of other people did it. I didn't anticipate that it would be different at an art school however. I can't exactly whip out an easel and paints and water and all that on the train :P
Commented 11 years ago2012-10-01 21:15:24 UTC in journal: #7985 Comment #58164
Ugh... i fucked college up more than anyone. I somehow let my 'rents decide commuting was the best option.

I had 12 hour long days, got home only to do homework, and then worked in a grocery store on the weekend. Shit sucked. I spent most of my time sitting in small public parks in Boston smoking and reading books between classes. Being at an art school, I couldn't exactly break out a complete easel and paints or a computer and photoshop on some random bench in the city.

I made more friends with homeless people than other students. Not even a joke. Some of them are nice people just on hard times.

It all worked out I guess as I'm steadily employed anyways, but I can't suggest commuting long distances to anyone but the most hardcore students.

Hope you're having fun, can't wait to see the pics. Sorry I couldn't make the drive out to hang with you and Tetsuo, I have a truck to work on tomorrow. I'm sure this is not the first opportunity to chill with a TWHL member that will ever happen.

We gotta get ZombieLoffe's ass over to the US for a week some summer so Srry and I can fly down to nickle's and we can all party. I'm sure anyone else is welcome, it happens every summer, plenty of space in the new house I hear. It'll be my first time due to money restraints in the past.

Non-dairy powdered creamer is fucking awesome. Also totally fucking explosive. Puff it into the air, apply fire, fucking explosion.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yRw4ZRqmxOc

It's so explosive that the mythbusters severly under-estimated it and visibly feared for their safety. Kari fucking sprinted away from Grant and Tory. Lulzy.

Ah, lame. I'm on driver version 301.42 and it's stable, if that helps. I don't believe it's the most recent drivers.
Commented 11 years ago2012-09-22 21:25:46 UTC in journal: #7978 Comment #43764
Shit Pengy that sucks. You're not using any beta drivers or anything are you? BF3 really picky about video drivers. Mine started crashed regularly after the last update and for some reason switching the install to my newer drive fixed it. I have no explanation for that.

If you find you like the larger conquest maps with 64 players you should really get Armored Kill. One of the maps is essentially BF3: Skyrim. Looks exactly like it. The flight box(in-bounds infantry space is obviously smaller) is about 3/4 the size of Skyrim's entire map, and it's mountainous. The flight box is 2 kilometers high. It's nuts.

Probably the one downside to a family business, we don't have one person who gets paid to clean, one who gets paid to take inventory, unpack, customer service, etc etc. There is ALWAYS more work to do.

I don't know about every corner but certainly any public library will have some and welcome him in.Maybe I shoulda said that before he left.

And Satch he's visiting the east coast. He asked if I'd like to drive over to New York to chill with Tetsuo and himself so unless he's booked one helluva trip... If only the US wasn't the size of half of a continent!

I have a loooong work day tomorrow, and an early day the next day. Looks like I'll just dip my toes in the evening and then finish it Saturday afternoon. I've waited this long so I can wait one day longer than others.

Not surprising! I've got a 560ti and any Source game pushed max doesn't even faze it. Average about 100 fps on any source game as high as it will go. I even force ambient occlusion soft shadows through the control panel. I guess the engine is beginning to show it's age.

I don't know if you like multiplayer games at all but I'd highly suggest Battlefield 3. A new expansion is about to launch :) If not I highly suggest Max Payne 3 as a single player experience. Your card should smoke it. It's a game for after your son goes to bed, no question at all.

Gratz on the card that looks really nice.

1: find big cardboard box
2: remove one side of said box
3: waterproof it with kitchen plastic wrap or loads of paint or both
4: place it over server
5: fuck the rain away

I'll be right here where I am, working in the family business by day and by night-

Videogames, TWHL, piano, beer, baby birdies.

Not necessarily in that order.

Building off of what Archie said, I told a friend this when a dog very dear to her died at just a year old- a pet well loved and well taken care of only experiences the best parts of life. They have life-long friends (which are so, so rare) and no worries at all. That dog enjoyed life with you more than any of us will enjoy our own lives, no doubt about it. I can't emphasize "you" enough in that last sentence either, dogs are intelligent pack animals and they really do love you as much as you love them.
