I wouldn't recommend buying it from him whatsoever, he could rip you off at any time. I would recommend buying from Nuclear Fallout servers, as they are of good quality, but they are expensive. You could probably get a 12 slot server for $23, and trust me, it wouldn't be a mistake. Chances are the server will be never filled up anyhow.

It's not "obligatory" to start with Goldsource, anyone could have easily started with Source and have been a good mapper. Saying that moving to Source is going to make you a better mapper is the most retarded thing I have ever heard.
I mean you could have been the suckiest mapper every on GS and still been a sucky mapper on Source. You make it seem as if you move to the Source engine you instantly become a better mapper.

This map from the screenshots reminds me of the Favelas from Modern Warfare 2, I'll have to test it out later.
