Thanks folks!

I wanted to change the mud texture, but after 300+ textures I made for the map, I really didn't have the energy for another.

I might come back to this one, but a break is in order :)

Well, I did want to put different lights inside, but I was on a tight schedule.

Also, don't think that you shouldn't criticize, everyone is eligible for it, no matter how much exp. they have. And don't think so low of yourself mate, you made quite a lot of really interesting maps, some even surprised me! But sadly I ain't got cs:go to test them all...
Tho, just to note, some of your GoldSrc work is non-downloadable, you should re-upload all your stuff to, lets say, Gamebanana, and link it to the downloads here.

If I ever wanted to make a collaborative work, you would be on my list.

The map has been updated, some brushwork has been fixed, and some textures replaced/added, and the layout has had a tweak. Check it out.

Heh, I know what u mean, but when I was searching for a name for a run down city, I thought "lets try and search for de_dystopia on google" and when it didn't turn up anything I started the project and finished it for the TR contest on GB. After that I found out about your map being called fy_dystopia (Allso love the de_abducted xD), I mean I saw it a long time ago, but forgot its name through time. DDR was made because I wasn't satisfied with DD, so I remade it into what it is now :P

You can check out this maps predecessor on GB if ur still going there, but It is too buggy to be played and has some serious errs, or de_dreamer, you might like their style :)

O, and an update of this map is to be expected, I let timmycakes try and optimize it a bit more then I did, and I might boost the light leves a bit to suite gameplay more.

Well the map has a really nice atmosphere, but I must say, u overscaled it.

But ether way, it gives me a really good feel while playing :)

4 stars just cause its scaled more then it should be.

The sound drops for some reason I'm not aware of, I think it might be that it is due to only 1 ambient generic being in the room, but when I put more then 1, the ambient generics went out of sync so fast that I didn't get to say showelpicks! But I think I wont be changing the map anymore, I just ain't got the will to do it :P

Trempler, are these textures from your Abyss mod?

Anyway, the map looks good, a bit small for my tastes, but it is really neat in it's level of detail and the lighting is also very well done.

Good map, 5 out of 5 from me just because u did it in 4hrs :P

I wanted to make the bar (the fabulous '50) have a song play in it, but every time I compiled it the song just didn't start - there are 5 ambient generics for the atmosphere sound and only the center one works, also the sixth AG in the bar doesn't start and I cant figure out why (or maybe it's got to do something with my cs)...
I made a few tracks but I haven't uploaded them yet cause they are not finished, but I'll finish them soon :]

For the carve - This is the first map in witch I used carve and I used it on the windows and the hallways for the buildings in the center. The way I used it is when I carved out all that, I textured it all with null texture and later on I textured only the visible sides and always b4 carving I made a square so that when I carved the cracks would be smallest possible, and also I'm not fond of carve tool, but it spared me a lot of time (still I wont be using it any time soon cause the results aren't as good as I thought they would be).

Now for the FPS - When I finished the map the w_poly count was about 6000 (that ain't good) but later on with a lot of work I managed to get it to 4000 (still not good), and finally Shash7 made a few changes and it is now at 2500 max (better but not perfect).
I have an integrated GC and my fps (in d3d mod bcuz I can't go to openGl) is about 40-50 but I noticed that sometimes the map starts lagging too much and I just reload it and it is fine.

I hope you have fun playing on this map, I really gave it my best and I consider it my best map to date.

Also - The soundtrack's will be uploaded on the Gamebanana (this maps page), and if anyone know's how to fix the ambient generic's not starting, please tell me, I tried everything I know of.
