I have not been on this site in a VERY long time. I don't map for this game anymore, but I had made quite a few friends along the way. I know my skills back then were total crap LOL. I've moved onto other things but still pop in once in a while to say hi. So, with that said, yeah I barely even remember creating this thing.

I had a screenshot but it wouldnt show the URL properly so I made a screen movie so you could see my config, and what hammer does. This exact same thing happened when I tried to put GMOD configurations suggested by facelick studios.

I seem to be having an issue with portal for a custom map.... I have som kinda of weird glow above me when holding the portalgun, yet in 3rdperson view it isnt there. Anyone ever experience this?

@Habboi ... Perhaps I just decide to wait till prices go down, or I just happen to discover them later than most people.

@World Crafter ... Valve is am evil plot to get your money as quickly as possible. I recommend you submit and just hand over your credit/debit card immediately LOL! (hell that's what it would seem like you did if you ever looked at all your game purchases ffrom them HAHA!) looks for HIS debit card crap.........

I rented a wii, and so far I agree with those who said it isnt all that great - the only 2 games I actually like so far is the bowling on Wii Sports, and Tiger Woods PGA '10 (rented from Family Video)... I think in 2 weeks when the wii is due, it's going back.

EDIT 1: And besides, my rist and arms are starting to get sore LOL!

Hell I still remember the headache I got putting hammer on my computer, and then trying to make heads or tails of it all. If they hadnt come out with source engine and pre-scripted entities and such, oh man..... I woulda gave up on it years ago LOL!

The only reason I EVER use this tool is for windows or doorways, and even then I'm extremely careful to use it only for completely squared angles.

In HL1, can you do the same thing with the lasers for the targets?

In Source when you have more than one target with the same name, it randomly goes to any of them..... I can certainly try to make it for HL1. :)

The purpose of the map is to basically have something that people can battle in... the boxes were placed randomly so no "line of site" is possible to the other's hiding places...

I'll take your suggestions seriously though.

My mapping capabilities are not all that great for source. It's more complex, and even texturing is a bit weird to me.

Airboat with the cam in the rear and monitor small in the drivers view.

You used more than one camera?

I tried to have 2 cams and 2 monitors... it defaulted both monitors to jjust one of the cams.

In Dandy's addition, who here knew wall thickness is a factor? Cuz I can shoot RIGHT THROUGH those 2 side walls. My roommate pointed that out.

Weapons placing I know, and chairs and stuff, hmm... gave me a great idea just now to have an entrance cut off from the rest of it so you have to go around...

Well, the "shag rug" (LOL) was an effect I made a long time ago... as for the walls, that was intentional (the blurry colors)... the ceiling however shrugs stupid I know hehe.

It was weird... I moved the catwalk down a couple units and it worked... it doesnt make any sense as gordon was able to walk up past the last step, but then the catwalk was stopping him - I didn;t have the catwalk more than a few units higher than the last step.

I didn;t design the steps... the step module incuding the button and such were designed by some guy on ejoop.com - it's on there as a "prefab"
