squrel, cs_dust is a BAD idea! why? because you gonna use dust.wad, and create one of million dust clones. i myself created dust clone when started mapping, but never released it :). i know, dust is popular map, textures are fine but it's OVERUSED theme. google for new textures (wadfather) and be creative, not plagijator GOOD LUCK!

i've just tested this map. i must say its very unusual map for cs. the atmosphere reminded me some kind of psychologic horror movie ! after all, i think this map suits hl much more than cs (besides you used hl.wad). if you create some story line, add some zombies, it would be interesting to play hl single player. iliked fountain, some other details, but map could be better.

fy map with hostages and secret rooms. strange. is there any way to get there without reducing gravity? dust textures and snow doesnt fit togather... but you rihgt, those tall walls looks interesting, there could be wind sound too to make better atmosphere. afterall, architecture is quite simple (looks like iceworld with tall wals). 3,5 stars

well, map is huge, and to complicated (for me).water looks really bad. there could be more sounds, like burning torches, runing water, etc. besides there is map called cs_aztec already, you should call it cs_babylon (reminds me more babylon than aztec :).in some places architecture is very simple, reapetitive textures, there are lot of similar places (i've got lost).besides i hated those long red small tunels :(...after all there are some nice places, next time make smaller map with more details, less cubic. ***

sounds like you have discovered something new. well, the truth is that cs players may be like deathmach maps, but mappers hate them. no offence, b'coz this is your first completed map, but it looks like...arghh...well, "first map". There is golden rule: NEVER POST YOUR FIRST MAP. it might be brilliant for you, but for mappers with some experience its 5 min work. next time post your work what you really proud off. there are lot of maps like that.

i must say wow!:) usualy i dont play hl, but i've tested this map. this map made me understand that mapping for hl can be as fun (or even more better) as for cs. offcource gamplay is very short (not more than 4-5 mins), but map is for compo, isnt it? i know nothing about compos, but i liked this map, architecture, textures, etc. only thing i missed is lots of guns and enemies :))oh, btw too many concret, could be more metal (the grates over pipes could sound as metal when you run over it). i wish your maps ware for cs

well, kind of interesting map, nice rock surface, but there are some mistakes with texture alignment, scaling. it is 4 vs 4 map? ct starts at the top, t below, so i think ct has big advantage.

ghm, this map looks better than cs_aztec to me :). the architecture is really nice, but textures too repeatitive, you can lost out there if dont know map very good. and yes, r_speeds are horrible! it reached 6600! never seen that high

well, it reminds my first map too (actually i think all first maps are similar :)). player start on the wrong turn, facing wall. i think its too large open are, awp there will be the only gun. i see you know how lightning works, transperancy. just find out how works texture application, vertex tool and you'll improve alot. use edifferent altitudes too, flat maps are borring. there are a lot of things you need to know, wellcome to the mapping world! good luck

good for you worldcraft dude. i see dead people... about map. i liked atmosphere, there are some nice architecture details, but you could use all aztex textures at least. i mean these green wals and grass, because now it's too grey. you forgot "doom" sky from aztec too :). besides arch's are bad constructed. overall it's not bad map, soon you'll improve, just need more practic

map is very detailed, nice textures, original idea (as_map). can't say anyything about gameplay (tested it alone), but there isn't too many alternative ways (like in cs_barcelona :), but i was looking 4 vip escape zone over 10 min (there could be a sign "EXIT" or "ESCAPE" near elevator). also there could be ambience sounds to make perfect atmosphere. 5 stars
I dont think he has stolen the map. Unless somebody is pretending as the "slipi" :). But what's the point then?? Slipi is this your only map 4 cs? Besides i like cs much more than hl (with fusion pack it looks realy cool).
Yup, there is something wrong with this cs_barcelona.map, it realy looks like it has been converted with winbsp. Anyway whoever made this map realy has skils
