'Fixed' my computer today. Problem > not 100% sure but it may have been from overclocking. The only thing that I saw that was weird was that it had been running fine for well over 2 weeks. Just happened today where the comp would sort of boot up and then try to boot from ExpressGate (yet I disabled it some long time ago).

The fix was resetting the BIOS values (taking out the battery and putting it back in). Sigh

The Story
I was trying to free up some space as the partition only had 1gb left. So I browsed to the "My Games" (for those who don't know, this is where most of the save game files can be found for your games) folder found in "Documents" and looked for anything particularly big. I saw UT3 which I hadn't been playing in a while and deleting it was a good idea. I right-clicked it and it said it took up about 1.6gb of space. Hastily I shift-deleted the folder and was finally glad I recovered some space.

The Mishap
Funny thing was, was when I right clicked. I actually selected the entire "My Games" folder instead of "UT3" and when I "Shift-Deleted", well... that was the mishap.

Wanted to free space > went to "My Games" folder that contained save game files > deleted it instead of another folder > oops.

Just finished Mirror's Edge. I gotta say that I enjoyed almost every moment as some parts proved to be annoying ("oh I missed the building by that much, start again. Hey I fell off again... start again"). It's linear progression was also a bit of a let down and so was it's short story line, but despite all of those, the overly bright style to it along with it's awesome soundtrack, Mirror's Edge was worth downloading buying... >_> I just would prefer if it wasn't linear; that there were more than just the one path of completing objectives.

Giving it 8.5/10

Just reformatted my Vista partition and replaced it with Windows 7. So far so good in terms of performance (over vista) and it can now boot up from sleep mode, unlike my vista which hung at a blank screen ~ weird. Only problem I have right now is that ESET Smart Security is having compatibility problems and I don't think it's running properly (hence the compatibility problem).

Just bought Company of Heroes Gold edition (comes with Opposing Fronts), Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 which left my voucher with 10cents left, Unreal Tournament 3 for $9AUD and watched my friend "steal" some lollies only to realise he found out that they were samples... It was a good day today.

Turning 16 tomorrow! Posting it today as I'll be out the whole day.

Completed Driver's Ed (Pre-Driving thing we have at school) today and I went well too. Out of 30 I scored 30 for automatic and 28/30 for manual. 2 points lost due to changing to the wrong gear two times .__. Although, that's pretty good for a first time driver.

Just a screenshot of what it's like on this server I found. It uses some mod where it randomly selects the class AND the weapon load out. Example:Pyro is credit to team!

The good parts to this mod are:
-Anyone can backstab.
-If you happen to be a scout w/ the minigun or flamethrower, you win.
-You can collect up to 200 shotgun shells.

The downsides are:
-You cannot build as there is no PDA.
-If you have the medigun, you can heal but cannot activate uber (unless you're actually a medic).
-The only special weapon is the flare gun but it has the model of the engy's pistol.
-You cannot taunt unless you have the specific class' weapon.

Weird but it made my day. Bandwidth reached 100% at around 4pm and it's currently 10:01pm. SO far, internet hasn't slowed down to the crawling 7kb/s I usually get when capped. And the better news for me is that since today is the 31st, my bandwidth get's refreshed tomorrow.

First post using my new computer! I can finally start mapping using The Orange Box SDK without a window telling me my CPU usage is too high.

Just finished putting together my new PC. Problem is, I'm missing a SATA cable for my DVD drive and I'm still trying to find my copy of Windows XP. :S Parts are:

-Asus M2N68
-Amd Athlon X2 7750
-Seagate 320gb SATA HDD
-Kingston DDR2 2GB 6400/800
-Gigabyte ATI 4850 512GDDR3
-Intech H340B 550W case
-SATA DVDRW - Sony

Should be running in 2-3 days.

I'm feeling happy today. I got my 6800XT working again after unlocking them last month only to realise they were faulty. Now I'm back to playing Source games with effects turned on (DirectX 8 on 5200FX didn't support HDR or Shader).

From me being careless ended up destroying my 6800XT and now I've reverted back to the ever so old 5200FX. I attempted to unlock some pipelines only realising it destroyed parts of the actual hardware. The dialogue box clearly stated, 'use it at your own risk' and now I regret actually opening RivaTuner. I learnt my lesson now... Time look for another graphics card. Looking for AGP card below $100. And yes, the budget is tight.
