I am attempting to zero in on the 'broken slot 6' problem now. Does anyone here know where is the code for binding keys to weapon slot categories?

I looked in client.dll's input.cpp: it has most of the key bindings like jump and strafe but I can't find where is the binding for the weapon slots..

for some people (especially WON versions), half life 1 does not support model transparencies. You need special versions of cg.dll or sw.dll or something not sure which ones exactly

(unfortunately for you I randomly decided to delete my copies of those files yesterday. Sorry man.)

it's a game basically you give the name of any sp mod, and I'll indicate the number of maps that mod has, and other people try to 'beat' your mod by naming another mod with more maps.

I think you're using an older sdk but the glock problem is easily fixable, look at the reload part of the glock code, I think the number that specifies whether to allow reload or not is supposed to be 17, but in the older code it's some other number (like 18 or 20 or something). Just change it back to 17.

I checked go mod source code and, unfortunately, while their CS weapon coding skills are on par, their op4 monsters (including voltigore and strooper) are not very good. (I don't think it will work properly). Maybe there are other means to obtain those

Simple problem: I have a HL2 CD key that I wish to activate on steam. However they need me to insert the CD itself which is the stupidest thing to ask for seeing that it's a dam electronic product delivery system. Ironically I have all the HL2 CD's except Disc 1. Stupid, Stupid.

I would guess it isn't, since I already incorporated working pipewrench and sniper rifle from them. Though the pipewrench had a little problem with it (hitmiss doesn't have cooldown) I think they did a decent job

i played might and magic v: tribes of the east and let's just say in the campaign the typos and mismatching audio and text dialogue is a major turn off. What can I say, it's a Russian game. Each campaign level takes over three hours.

muzz, I had gotten raven city source code which includes nearly every op4 entity. You can incorporate their cpp files into your project for sure.

I use 2008 which was already a pain to make sdk work with, and I can only guess 2010 is harder to sync with. I personally would love it if you would extend uplink extended

?? I didn't touch fallinit, the problem is more like that the weapons themselves dont work. This happens when the weapon is placed in an inappropriate HUD position or has the same position as another weapon. (they work when placed in an appropriate position like, say category 1 position 1(right below crowbar). Main problem is I haven't got category six to work legitimately yet.

@ Joe, dam that crash site looks crazy, with all the sprites it looks even better than the opfor crash site (which just had eletric beams and sparks)

looks like a voltigore, with a creepy face.. We can reskin the voltigore with ms paint to look like that, I can maybe code one for u, and then you'll have your own boom mod, wait, that might not be a good idea.

SERIOUSLY though about that labcoat, how come you don't go with a brush func_wall or something? I see that alot in mods.

while I have to admit that saw is very, very correct, I can't deny that young Dimbark has great ambitions and seek to create a mod of epic and professional calibre. However Dimbark, a friendly warning for you. Once you get to high school you may find that you won't have as much free time. If you don't work on it 24/7, your mod will end up as vapourware.

dam that looks crazy.

I changed max weapon slots but that doesn't seem to make the weapons in that bucket work yet. I might have to recompile both sides, and in the worst possibility it would still not work

I think it might have to change hud.txt too, maybe.

EDIT: Fixed hud.txt, no luck. Looks like I'll have to recompile and do some digging.

If there is absolutely no solution I'll have to cram the op4 weapons into category 3 and 4 which will look extremely awkward. Let's hope that doesn't happen.

i remember getting something like this, and i deleted it thru task manager, and then killing the registry values of it, but then I got zealous and killed windows search assistant, and eventually the computer crashes at startup. Be really careful when you delete windows registries
