Snarkpit users ay nothing so i'll post the info here.

Release date: 31st July
Completion : 10%

Standard Proceedures

This game is set in a lab in England researching the use of bio-matter in weaponary. This is where the first model of the HEV was tested. I plan to include new enemies and allys (not to mention british scientists

)

So far only a very small portion of the introductory level is complete but this is my main occupation between my G/F and looking for a job so updates will be plentiful.

I'd stay stick with the cacodemon. It was a favourite monster in doom.

Then HL1 came out and doom, quake and other FPS alike got smashed into tiny little pixelly bits.

I had no idea the mass change in avatars was going on. I was just pissed off when i changed mine.

Ah the joy of long confusing thread titles.

Ok. I want a side on view of the player model at quite a distance. I know this can be done with console commands because i've deen them in the past...but being a moron i've forgotten.

Also (I may have asked this before) How can i make a key make a player face a different direction?

For instance lets say > makes the player run forward (side on view) how can i make < make the player move and face left / Backwards.

The zombie forced out of the window is a ragdoll. I believe there is a feature in hammer that allows you to mess with physics for scripting. (the guy knocking the trash of the table at the start for example) When telling the console to draw the physics you see a red line from the (scripted) bottle to the floor as it falls.

Using ZoneAlarm. The good news it it seems I've solved the problem with the steam cracker or hacker or whatever the bloody hell they are. Only problem is the big hole in my security thanks to them.

I got an lop and 3 possible browser hijack attempts. Its much better that the 50 things i had the other day.

I might get away with not formatting after all.

It appears my system has been hacked and somone is using my steam account unlawfully. It also keeps spreading viruses across all of my files (121 at least per time) as a result I am to format my PC tonight including my current mods. Forutnatly HL:Manifestation and The Complex are on my G/Fs machine so development can continue on thos titles.

However HL:Crabz and Sub Zero Project are full on cancelled.

Ok so i've finished my 2 college years and I guess I'm unemployed as of today. So to amuse myself i thought i'd make my own compo.

Brief:

Create a map based on smoe sort of production line. Make a factory that builds G-men or an alien mining facility that digs up crystals. Just make somthing that looks busy and organised (or you may wan't somthing to go wrong). Hell you could even go for the original theme of HL1 and create a working sector of Black Mesa before the incident. (or during the resonance cascade if you like explosions)

Rules:

HL1 only.
Post files to TWHL or my Forums.
Post any screenies or information on your work in this thread or on my Forums.

Thats it.

Ah the beta stuff. This was what it looked like when PCG reviewed it in november 1997. Then they took a year making a completely different game. Luckily their mappinf skills seemed to improve over that year.

I got a couple of the videos from when it was anounced in July 1997. Man it looked crap. The diablo looked cool t mind you. Shame they removed it from the final release.

Ok. here's the thing.

I downloaded MS3d 1.6.6a or somthing about 2 months ago and ran it through the 30 day trial. Then i went on a hunt for a free key and when i found one and tried it it said that the version had expired and that i needed to wait 2 minutes for it to register. I waited and nothing happened.

RegVac didn't work
Re-installing didn't work.
Downloading a different version didn't work.

God damn it. It's just easier to go legit!
