Atom, it almost seems like he isn't using a multi_manager.

Eleven, try this.
Use a multi_manager, name it camera_intro
Have your trigger beneath your player start trigger the multi_manager

In the multi_manager, set the timings for your cameras.
cam1 0.0
cam2 5.0
cam3 3.5

If that doesn't work, try what The Mighty Atom suggested - Trigger the cameras again to turn them off. Use a .01 second delay in between turning the old camera off, and turning the new camera on. I'm not sure what will happen if you overlap both triggers.

Archie :( I can show you the .vmf if you wish.
They're all prop_dymanics. I 'even own Gmod :)
Keyframe_rope, prop_detail, light_env, cubemap, fog.
Point_camera - I even used a custom texture for the repellent - which i now know i spelled wrong!

Maybe i'll whip something else up, but nobody was entering :hammer:

I built a farm.... somewhere. I don't know the area yet and I haven't decided on a home-base location. The farm is free for anyone to harvest but please replant.

It says to compile on full which you are, or func_wall some complex brushwork in the area. I recommend getting the better FGD and using func_detail INSTEAD OF FUNC_WALL so you're not peppering the world with entities.

You also have quite a few duplicate texlights in your lights.rad file but that should be alright i think...

Your visibility matrix is 883.9 megs... holy dam.
Make sure you have at least a gig of free ram lmao.

Its the same thing but with lower res textures, weak lighting, smaller world bounds, a primitive triggering system....

However its really quick to get into.
The HL1 download takes about 5 minutes on a good connection..
Get Hammer and the latest compile tools.. unpack the gcf to get your textures and you're off to the races =]

You'd be missing some of the great features of Hammer 4 though.

My initial guess would be a missing file or incorrect texture resolution.
Without an actual error message however, i can't help much.
Double-check to make sure the wads are in the valve folder?

Maybe post a screenshot of the error?

May i suggest the following shortcuts that I regularly use.
  • Holding spacebar in the 3D view temporarily activates freelook/navigate
  • double-clicking on an entity in the 3D view loads its properties
Forgive me if I'm reapeating myself.

Is there a location of planned additions? I checked github and I didn't see these in here.

Also I'm not quite sure if the compilation settings are right? I checked the "show log" button but no log appears and then my map doesn't seem to update.
hmm... gonna use the compilator for now then.

I've found it easier to relocate all your tools and maps to a folder right in the C drive. (or whichever storage drive you're using)

I have a THOR folder so mine is C:|THOR|Maps or |Tools etc..

Yeah if you have express written permission i could recreate the level in hammer.
But i would need models, materials, at least 2 weeks of construction time etc...
And i'm assuming the world is a giant model anyway so that might just be a waste of time.

Hell; have you tried asking Riot for the models?

I'm not sure about using the Half-Life SDK - I think its generally accepted here at TWHL to use Hammer 3.5 with the new VHLT compile tools.
