Oh, and did anyone else notice a Slave prowling around Eli Vance's lab in one of the long HL2 trailers? I figure the humans found out how to manipulate their collars...

I was bored as hell today, so I decided to look at Half-Life models.

While I was browsing I came across a couple of monsters that never made it into the game, I'm sure most of you guys here have already seen them.

Now one monster in particular caught my eye, it was a thing called "friendly", and here comes the reason of this post. That that?s the horror style Valve should have had in mind while creating all of their monsters, not just this one! I mean look at him!

I just got my Tribes: Vengeance Beta working today, and I tell you, I love this game!

You guys should really try it out! It has GREATLY improved over its predeccesor, Tribes 2. It incredibly fun, although it has some bugs here and there, but you can't blame it, it clearly says it's a Beta, besides most of them usually don't interfere with having a great time.

Go here now, and sign up today!

I would just love to have one reporter on those live interviews once ask Gabe Newell or Doug Lombardi or whatever, "So, since Steam is glitching piece of sh*t for most gamers out there, what do you intend to do about the slew of stolen CD-Keys and the non-existent support team?"

Haha! I would seeing their faces after that question if ever happened! Take that F*ck Lobardi and A**-R*pe Newell!

That fence thing, if you watched the long E3 trailer, is part of the Combine; you could see it slowly advance meter by meter on the city during the trailer. One part of the fence suddenly rose up off the ground and then suddenly dropped back down moving a meter forward.

(Well it not that bad of a thing but...)

One, when I was maybe like six or five, I don't remember, I raced my uncle towards a bed, to get a boost I skided down on my knees towards it.

What I didn't see, because the lights were off, that I had sped towards a sharp corner of the bed headfirst.

We all now what happened next, my forehead went straight into that sharp point. Last thing I remember was that I was histericaly crying and blood was gushing out everywher eon my face.

Now I'm left with a permanent scar on my forehead, and since I recently got glasses, my friends purposely annoy me by calling me Harry Potter.

Thanks Seventh-Monkey, but I already had got it figured out from your scripted_sequence tutorial.

The problem was that I had set my monster_scientist entity to Gag. Which was pretty dumb thing to overlook, now looking at it. :P

in A sequence of actions... Post #53692
I tried your advice Floater619, and it didn't help.

Here's what I did. I got the trigger_auto entity out and put it inside the info_player_start entity, just in case. In the Target field I entered my scientist's name, switched Trigger State to ON, and finally typed in the sitidle sequence in the Global State to Read field.

When I ran the map the scientist still just stood there, I'm dumbfounded. I figure I did something wrong within the trigger_auto properties, I'm still quite new to triggers, only managed to make one work so far.

Can you tell me what I did wrong?

in A sequence of actions... Post #53688
Alright, I have the monster_scientist entity out, also commonly known as the scientist.

What I want to do is make him follow a sequence of actions; first make him do the sitidle sequence followed by sitstand and finished off by dieforward1.

I put the entity on my map and choose sitidle as his default Animation Sequence. Now the problem is when I compile and run the map, the scientist just stands there instead of using his sitidle animation.

Any thoughts? Help appreciated!
