fraps is recording all my full screen, not just the game I want to record. So it's recording all my desktop + the game, 1680 x 1050 videos, 12 seconds = 200 MB

I'm making a fun Ba_jail map and here's the T spawn (inside jails). I would want to have shadows of all the wooden stuff on the roof, but it doesnt make shadows don't know why, I've even upscaled the lightmaps of the floor from 16 to 64 without any result.

Really?....On what do you base that on?They make the comparison videos between 360 and ps3 with locked settings on the ps3, so you don't see the real graphics of the ps3.
To me, it seems GameTrailers.com has a bigger Sony PS3 community that the Microsoft Xbox360 community.
2nd) They made a video of a car racing game showing the "both" consoles on a divided screen, 360 screen have far better graphics than the ps3 screen. So you see all the video and you say "OMG PS3 sucks!!!". But at the end of the video they forgot to delete a thing, they forgot to delete the replay buttons from both consoles, and voil?, both screens had the same fucking buttons, the PS3 buttons! So the tards showed the real PS3 graphics as the 360 graphics, and the locked ps3 graphics as the ps3 graphics. When they noticed the error they deleted the video, but someone was faster than them and recorded it, you can watch it on youtube, Veoh, etc...

yeah but it's not a wireless problem, I have 70% signal. It's windows vista network that does it, there's lot of people that have fixed it by installing XP drivers, but I can't get them working.
well, hell, I learned somethin' new! Well I'll be!...You didn't know that? lag has nothing to do with FPS, lag is caused by packets lost or "arriving late" (ping) from the server, and makes the game look as if it was moving slow. So it's internet connection problem.

Spike: what is the point of overclocking a quad-core processor and an AMD 4870? I have a rig, which has like a quarter of that performance, and I still don't overclock it.Overclocking the quad core because compile times are much faster, and the temperature of my processor is very good (below 65 ?C always), so i don't have to worry about it. And overclocked 4870 because ASUS Smart Doctor (program) lets you do it to a secure limit (and in real time!), so why not? I just overclock it when I play Crysis, when I play other games I have it on default speeds.

In one of Imu's mods he created an easy fog affect. He textured a func_illusionary with a water texture and set its rendermode to texture and ammount to probably around 50 or so and placed many of them over eachother creating a fog affect. You could check out his mod to see it or just try it, it doesn't look that bad.yeah but it won't fade the objects behind the fog, and will increase the wpolys.

I want to live in Angelholm, So I'm searching an university near there, Lund seems to be too far (100 km), so it would take me more than a hour each day to go there, not a good option. Helsinborg seems to be 45 km aprox which is a good option, Halmstad too. Goteborg seems to be as far as Lund does, so doesn't seem a good choice.
