Indeed, to the modern generations the internet is a crucial part of their lives(including me). Without my computer and the internet connection I would be much more stupid(really) and remain with school learned things. And those things don't really help me out in life.

Yep, thanks that resolved the problem but why it isn't allowed with big scroll textures ?
I usually put 10000(10 mb). Oh nobody uses a Pentium2 to play hl anymore lol(even I have an old Pentium2 and the video card is 16 MB)

Well I'm making a map and I at some point I received te MAX_MAP_MIPTEX . The map is medium-sized yet and the -texdata parameter was set at the beginning to 10000.
At some point the error showed up. I found at last what was the thing that caused the error, because I tried even -texdata 50000 .
The fault is shared by these 2 textures :
I used them as a func_conveyor to recreate the lighting stuff like in NS.
Removed them= problem resolved.
But I have to use them, how can I resolve this problem?
[EDIT] I forgot to say they're both 256x256 px.

Heh, everyone is buying new pcs these days ( the prices are quite low and the modern pc parts are accessible to a wide range of social classes).

What entities are unused after compilation 
Maybe I'm not understanding how bumpmapping works , but aren't the ditches formed by the bricks useful in bumpmapping ?

Well I got more textures from that site . Here's a set of papers . The last texture is a wood texture I made it tileable . I think it's very good .

A pretty simple advice :
Are you avoiding to build concave brush shapes? Yes you are, because you know the HL won't permit this .
In the same way, try avoiding building concave spaces.Read the tutorial that's linked on the page Killer-Duck gave to you.

From what I saw on your site, rimrook, your mod is actualy good quality.
And if you have models like the one in your "project" image, you can really contact valve to put it on steam for a little price
I'm expecting a better quality than "The trap" mod, which was excellent.

For me it doesn't. Maybe it's because of the last update ? Servers are busy ?

[EDIT2] Well I talked to a friend and for him hl2dm works X(, I restarted my pc and it still doesn't worl argh
[EDIT3]Resolved. I had to delete some files so that steam redownloads them . It works now !

It's a hibrid train : train&lift . It goes vertically as well as horizontally ( in the screenshot you can't see but I've just added a support for horizontal movement )

This is my problem . Skals sent me hl2 and he said it contains counterstrike source as well . I didn't got that . But I presume it should contain hl2 deathmatch and it doesn't :|, only the singleplayer game (?).

You should check your RAM levels too , maybe you have to many programs opened .
Try making a defragmentation . I recommend you using "SmartDefrag".
As MastaKilla said , your video card isn't a gaming beast . From what I know , that card is even cheap .
Furthermore , maps may cause problems too . You'll have different performances in a box and in a industry complex .
If you have windows vista , try turning off some advanced features like Aero and these things .
Keep in mind to turn off your browser too .

Hi , I just got steam and I was curious if I can run my own server . I installed the dedicated server , launched put half-life .
I can't select any map , only stalkyard ....
I put the connection to "Internet" , the UDP port to 27014 because it doesn't accept 27015 and the rcon password to "rar" .
Now , I copy the IP it gives me and type in half-life ( steam half-life now yay ! ) "connect 27014" and it gives me this :
What can it be ? :/ ...
