Guys, is it only me that sees the possibilities with this thing? The remote works by simply moving and twisting it around. You can also plug a control stick into it, which makes it perfect for FPS games: left controls movement, remote controls aiming, similar to a mouse. That particular attachment is rumoured to come with the console, so you don't need to pay for it. Also, other attachments (unknown) are planned for it.
Also remember that the Gamecube controllers can plug into the Revolution, and that remote can be turned on its side, NES style (to play NES games, obviously).
Nintendo planned for the Revolution to be accesible to anyone, which explains the controller. Personally, I think its quite innovative and should suit FPS games perfectly: loads better than using a control pad. I definately want to try it out before I buy though. Apparently its very sensitive to movement.
This controller definately intrigues me. Unfortunately, most of you aren't aware of Nintendo's strategies which is why you're mocking it. Besides, how can you bash something you haven't even tried yet?
