You can have spaces in map names, but they won't run thru console or thru run. :

Agreed with rowleybob. Mapping is all full of player-fooling. Many paths, that the player would want to take, to explore the map further are always blocked by something... :)

Maybe this would work?

Make a momentary_button just in front of the trackautochange. Make it 1 unit thick, so that the bullet would go through it. Now make another trackautochange anywhere in the map, make it invisible. Name it e.g "trackchange2" and write the name in the momentary_buttons' target field... :)

Well, Sm0k3y I've read ur post and I agree with ur ideas... We really need sumthin that would make Blue Thunder stand out of the crowd... It could either be something totally new (game mode, wpn sys, realism, etc.) or it could have some VERY awesome gameplay, including MP. Madcow - I suggest that you'd read his long post.. It should take you 5min max anyways... :lol:

Maybe we could go to futuristic, but we shouldn't go off to SCI-FI. I'd say we stick 2 reality and make some interesting upgrades for the wpns or, like Sm0k3y said - look for it. I could try drawing some concepts of the upgraded wpns. BT (Blue Thunder) could have some unique wpns - like some special bullets or some special greandes (lots of codework, I know). Like I said b4 - we could get rid of the crosshair - to make the player aim with the wpn itself. We could also make the players' movement speed drop down permanently, when he's wounded.

We could also see, what made other mods so popular (CS).
CS got popular because of it's great team-based concept and it's terrific gameplay. Why not stick to that? In BT - teamplay should be very important. We could make it so that the success of the mission would depend much on teamwork.

So what do ya think of my iedas? Any more? :)

then at least try x1.5.. Trust me - scaling WORKS!
Read the tutorial on hint brushes if that and null textures don't work...

You can also alter the layout a bit... Heres what I did:

As you see, I just moved the barracks to block the open areas and placed some more crates in the areas that cannot be blocked. Such layout makes the map more interesting and makes the r_speeds lower... Just experiment with the layout... :)

Well I'd go for 40.. And yes, damage divided by 2 would be quite realistic. I think that the player's max movement speed should become slower, when hit in the foot... e.g, with 1 hit in the foot, the player couldn't run. :)
