I don't know even if the editor for Sdk is version 4.0 (hammer) .
I'm desperate on finding ths program and I don't know how ....
Do you need steam ? Is there another way ? I think there is a way . Hammer and other programs steam uses are packed in some kind of file ( gfc or something ?!) . Can somebody post a link with that gfc or maybe post a link with hammer 4.0 ?

I like custom maps and already hate de_dust , fy_snow and other maps that are played a thousand times on a server. Instead i search for good maps from

This site and play them . Because custom maps are better.
hmmmmm....daubster i don't really know what you mean (because i didn't learn the vulgar language at school , but maybe I don't have time or money to buy half-life1 anymore.........

Anyway , why are you reacting with fury ? Did I do something wrong ? I killed somebody ?

I thought that on this site I will find civilized people . Maybe I was wrong ?

Enough with this stupid thing. All I an wait is that on my favourite site the people will have an exemplary behaviour. That's all.

I meant that it is realistic but.....how can i explain ....... you know .....the level of detail.That is what I want to say , it has a lot of detail but that teleport and a stupid car destroys somehow the realism(well , not "destroy", but , i have a bad english yet)

3 weeks spent.

MuzzleFlash go to bed . Cstrike is the most played game , although it's engine is old.I don't see as many servers for half-life , dod ,tfc etc. as for cstrike.And that's why there are a lot of more maps for cstrike .
Believe me I like Half-life and I want to make a map someday .But I didn't played yet half-life 1 , only HL2 :D .

Hi everyone. I'm going to release in the next few days a new map.

I think it's going to be my first very realistic map.I'm working on it for 3 weeks now.....(1 to 6 hour........it took me a lot to think about how to create it ! )

It wont copy the realism very much because the is a func_teleport in there , and a kind of car , but you know ....just a metal thing with some lights to copy the car .....:))

But it's a bomb plant/defusion map. Wait...you saw the "fy" huh ? Well that's because at first, I only wanted to be a speed frag.Then i thought it will be nice to make a big release ( yeah....and take alll that criticism from all of you :P)

It has areas with a lot of detail , and areas with some lack of detail :( .

Yeah .....twhlers ...prepare yourself....nha just kidding :))
No screenshots ! Why ? I will destroy my surprise then......love ya

I can't believe this , you don't know where is romania :)) I know almost all the countries (...not from africa ...) ...plus , there is google earth. "google" it !.
the point is that i want to see who is from romania and who isn't........

Hi everyone again.I'm almost finishd with my new map ............but I'm stuck with a vehicle that doesn't stay in the direction I want to. Instead of sitting with the front on the direction I want to , it stays lateral. Can anyone help me ? (sorry , maybe I still have a bad english :D )

Hi everyone ! I was playing around with some sounds in a cs-map ......and found those "vox" and "fvox" folders.Hey, the voice sounds cool!
My question is , there was a program to make this souns or ........i just want to make my own sounds.But with the vox or fvox voice.It'll be nice......

Ups sorry...it was from bad vertex manipulation I guess, a rezolved that .But it wasn't the dome , there were some lights.

I was building a dome map(with a dome) . I was happily ( :)) ) compiling , no signs of errors, but in the game.....full bright. I was searching for a leak.Nothing.I thought the dome that is a very compicated structure could cause a error.Nothing. Then I read the compiling log , with a lot of attention.

I found a "malformed face" error , which is supposed to be a "texture axis perpendicular to face".
Well i tried to resolve de problem with "alt+P" but that resolves nothing !
What the hell is this error ? ........weird !

thanks .... I've discovered that i need a trigger auto, though......

[EDIT] I've also discovered that you need to put the same lights twice in the multi manager for the effect like in the image to work out.Because if I do how you said , the lights will turn on , but won't turn off before the other lights will turn on.Only when the multi_manager resets itself they will turn off.

Once again: thank you very much !

Oh, and that's a great idea with the airport runway.Maybe I should try it too :D

The Multimanager will reset every round, no? And Another question.I see from what you explained me that the multimanager auto-triggers itself.Is this possible? (well , only one way to find out...I'm going to make a test map ! :D )

Well , I don't know if you succesfuly played a 16 bit sound in-game. I had tried and they didn't work. I put all my custom sounds in the following format : 44100 khz 8bit mono . And the sounds are working perfectly.

I started scrolling in cstrike to search for maps(i have lot of them).I clicked cs_bunker .After I had started the game , I saw an awsome light effect like in the image below. I tried to decompile the map but I couldn't. So , anybody knows how to make this lighting effect ? :D

Hi everyone.....i think this is espen's tutorial on an other site.....but that doesn't matters :
1. Make a multi_manager. In the name write reset_manager. turn off Smart Edit, add ? key: roundreset, value: 1.
Here you just replace "roundreset" with the name of what you want reset.

2. You probably want some lights to start on/off. Make a trigger_relay somewhere.
Give it the following variables:

Name: turnofflights
Target: (here you put the name of the light entity)
Trigger State: on/off (Either you want to start the light on/off)

Add a variable in the multi_manager.
Turnofflights: 1

Step 2 is repeatable

3. We put the value to 1, which is one second after thet round. It could be 0, but resetting an entity that fast could cause problems, and the entity may sometimes not be activated.
The problem is that I don't understand this tutorial so well...but something similar to this is what i need to know.

I made a map with rock music(it's just an audio-combine that when you press "e" starts music,turns on red light and the windows closes) .But in multiplayer,the nextround the music starts alone,without being triggered.Did I miss something? I have to put something else in the multi manager? Or it's something like in espen's tutorial ?

My new project is a cs_assault modification.......

Well...I had to correct tens of errors and arhitecture errors .It was the decompiler's fault.I think this is quite.....stealing someones idea...but like I said in my journal......I have more than 10 cs_assault maps.

Ok .......I don't want to talk about this anymore.So ....as I saw in those maps....the wall in front of the ct_spawn has no rooms...or something....So I built some rooms there. I've build a balcony yesterday.The stupid black areas will be removed and I'll add some realism(like the road continues or something like that.....)
Seems like more ideas will come. That's all for know....a screenshot with the wall in front of the ct_spawn :

well I think it's to difficult to build the assault from 0 ....and many .many people modified the cs_assault map.You can't say it isn't true.......And as I saw those maps....well ...all are just modifications(and I have a lot of cs_assault maps) Big modification or tiny modifications.Not from 0.

Yes. I have cs_assault , halflife.WAD ,cs_dust.WAD and some textures made by me.And not only de_dust has that problem.I tried to decompile ka_allinlone

or what name it has to show something on the forum and it was the same problem.And anothetr thing:

There is a little thing called "textract" .It extracts textures from the maps.But do you know how to use this tool?
