TWHL.co.za - The best website in the world, it's all about Halflife2 Mapping. Contain Tutorials, a Forum and really friendly and helpful people live in the forums.
That's right, we've got no life outside TWHL. :)

Idiot. It's not in the slightest bloated, do your research here.
How nice of you. If a web browser has an IRC client, I consider it bloated. And yes, I consider Mozilla Suite bloated too.

But yeah, let's not start the browser wars all over again.

You, mr. 38_98, suck at computers.
I prefer Opera. You might want to give that a try; the only argument people have against it is its ads, but I can get them hidden if you decide you like it. It's renowned for working on low-spec. machines, too. Try it.
It's bloated too.

in A little HUD help. :O) Post #122001
You can only change the HUD colour by coding, all other changes are done using a sprite viewer and an image editing software.

If you really do want to change the colour of your HUD, I advice you to get someone else to do it for you. Microsoft's Visual C++ IDE used in the tutorial costs around hundred bucks.

The double trims on those walls look a bit stupid. Replace the upper trim with some other texture.

Add some vents to the ceiling on the back. It's a bit too bare.

Deepen the ceiling with that black texture. Try making it a bit more angled.

What else... Add some more detail lighting like in the original map.

If I recall correctly, the HUD files are stored as sprites. Dig up some tool for checking them. m0p also wrote a tutorial on changing the HUD's colour, have a look at it here.

All right, I'm bored so I'll write a list of things I think should be done or changed. Here we go:
  • Disable voting your own maps
  • Disable voting in problem maps
  • Allow appending new content to forum posts
  • Allow previewing your posts before posting them
  • Seperate HL1 and Source tutorials. There's already support for multiple games. (Clicky!)
  • Add an icon before closed threads.
There are more but I got bored again. Take care!

Hmm, I suppose you could upload your map .rmf to the Map Vault for others to see. It's pretty hard to troubleshoot such a complex problem with just a written description of the map.
