it was very difficult not to drink at that party.

nine 2 litre bottles of Lambrini,
four 1.5 litre bottles of 45% bacardi (Strong shit)
3 cases of beer
3 cases of vodka
1 case of those shitty alco-pop things.

and on top of that, most of the non-alcoholic drinks were spiked so...

(probably shouldn't be talking about this in a thread made by a weight-lifting doctor.)

I was Jake Blues(Blues Brothers) at a halloween party on the 28th.
Standing next to me are Emo Dorothy (Wizard of Ozzy) and Captain Jack Sparrow(Pirates of the Carribean)

(got very drunk that night :D)

it did a pretty decent job actually.
As long as there are spanish speakers on the site, i'm sure they can learn to map.. maybe just with more difficulty than normal.

i think that it counts as a tribute, especially since by the quality of the map, it is clear that a lot of effort has gone into making it. Perhaps as simply an architectural map (like falling water) it would'nt even stir up a fuss, but i can see the problem of making it for CS..

Personally, i think it's acceptable

Is it possible to to it without Wally?
Yes. Open lights.rad, delete all instances of the generic textures you want to use.
It's not because they're animated, it's because they're textlights.

great review, satchmo!

Although i must ask:
Why do you run in such a high resolution, but without high texture detail or shaders?
The game would look far better on a lower resolution with texture detail set to high, and shaders on full.

Well, muzz took a look at it and has decided that it can't possibly be crashing, due to the lack of errors. So it's not in fact crashing, but actually mentally distorting your brain to make you think it's crashing.

In other words, there is no explanation for the crashes.

in Kasperg is teh famous! Post #200322
it is the one he made. I checked the readme.

And upon flicking through the mag that arrived this morning, it's also mentioned in the 'Extra Life' section of the mag.
Falling Water

This isn't just a playable map for HL2, but the architectural study of a famous house in the Pennsylvania woods, nicknamed "Falling Water" by its creator, Frank Lloyd Wright.
Architecture geeks have been hugely excited by the project, which recreates the legendary home using floorplans and photos. As commentator Geoff Manaugh observes: "Architectural schools could instantly boost students' morale if their course orientation packets came with a videogame wherin users go around blowing up anything built by Le Corbusier... Or Space Invaders: The Next Generation, where you defend 100,000 acres of Colorado wilderness from architecturally unimaginitive suburban housing"
And the picture has a caption saying "'Collection of boxes' just didn't have the same ring"

No credit to Kasperg, appart from in the readme.

in Help with ladders and doors Post #200224
erm... Just surround the func_ladder with an invisible func_wall_toggle.

When the rope descends, toggle the func_wall_toggle and the ladder will become accessable.

The only problem with this is, if it's in a wide open area, there will be an invisible brush blocking the player walking through the space where the ladder will be.

Also, why are you using a func_door for the descending rope?
