open up the .map file hammer generates when compiling, look for any brushes going waaaay off into the distance (the coords show this, as they are long past +/- 4096). Thats your invalid brush, delete and remake it.

Latest map posted, If anyone doesn't think it's very VERY iffy then look at the facts:

All the comments were made by people that registered TODAY
The comments were made in the space of 7 minutes, only 1/2 an hour after the map was released!
There's already been 14 '5 star' ratings already. I've never seen that in the vault.
I tried the map, it's very average.

Utter BS, what do you think?
IMO Atom/Andy/whoever moderates the vault should delete the comments and warn the author. :x

No you can't, you'd have to create a mod that uses the model and the code for it, or reskin the default model for the machine gun. Which I must say is a BAD idea and noone will let you.

depends, for my starwars map, a full vis actually INCREASED r_speeds. However this is due to the somewhat bizarre nature of the map.

I'd keep it static else it'll either crush people or go wrong quite a lot. It would also increase r_speeds really badly.

Ok I looked at the site, 'wowee' someones creating a 'real' counterstrike map. Isn't that what most of the maps are already? AFAIK they are based on real-world situations or real buildings themselves.

It's only fun if you've been there.

func_water, and its a brush entity. You need to set its render mode to texture and render amount to a value around 200 or so. To make it so you can't see through the water when you're in it (meaning so you can't see whats above the water), put a 1 unit thick func_water brush on the very top of the water surface with default properties

If Elite Force 1 can be a great game based on the series, the sequel could have been as well. I can't believe you didn't notice the music though, just go through the first few levels and listen to the action music, its beyond a joke!

Elite Force 2 was awful, nowhere near as good as the original. Theres only 3 recognisable characters, compared to the entire crew of Voyager. The music sounded like a midi file they downloaded off the net, and then reversed and changed all the instruments to that stupid guitar noise. The gameplay is bland and monotonous, theres no real excitement as everything is predictable.

Overall they took the game and made it something you'd expect to play in an arcade. It got slightly better towards the end, but it still felt rushed. The final boss showing how totally distanced from reality the game is.

I haven't noticed this problem? If its truly related to func_breakable, use a func_wall_toggle and some env_shooters. If its a problem with func_water, either dont use it (just solid water), or use a really REALLY dark texture for the water.

Random events are done using the random properties of a laser, as on VERC http://collective.valve-erc.com/index.php?doc=1045094934-21558900

Anything beyond the sky texture is null, therefore the bullets hit this and create sparks etc. As it happens in every map ever, I wouldnt worry too much about it ;)

No you can't, other than creating a mod and editing the ladder sound directly.
