I posted this to try again..
The whole preject has ben stoped because we don't got modelers or coders..
Coders - A few things to fix, like, new weapons ( mp5, sniper, shotgun, hand-gun, blah blah blah... I don't know how many new weapons yet, but that's a start), also, we might need to change the AI, so they can surrender, and you can put handcufs on them..

-Modelers Still the same thing, changing the citizen models into Swat models, and changing the combine models into,, uhh.. terrorists? O.o (duh)

Maby some more mappers.

I will start a special SWAT-mod section at www.tco.2u.se (http://roma55.mine.nu/julian/index.asp = error free login for non-mozzila users)
So you can sign up, and see what's going on, and talk about the swat mod there..

Please, any mapper/coder/modeler that wants so sign up now, just mail me at madcow_admin@hotmail.com or post it here. :)

and I saw this: impulse 76 (Grunt-O-Matic)
I tested it ingame, but nothing happened, does anyone know what it is?

Ok, I'll try this: box the player in in a brush (hollow) with the no draw texture..
When the ride is over, the hollow brush goes up, using the same technique as when you make elevators,, wich I don't have any idea of how they do, but I bet I can find that using google...
Well, anyway, when you go in to the boat, there is a trigger that makes the box come down again, a message appares if the box went down without any errors ( :P ) and, then it's done! :D
Just need to make it look better,, the boat looks like sh**

If you mean, that you bind a key to the -dev -console command, and press the key in game, I don't think it will work, just click the HL2/CSS properties >> Launch options and write -dev -console,, it works for me.. ;)

don't use env_message,, if I remember right, that doesn't even exist in hammer 4..
use: Game_message.
I use that..
Then, make an input at all weapons, saying (I've never done this, but something like this..)

-On pickup
-game_test(the name)
-Display

No,, you're right, coldfreak!

No, alex, you do not need the cubemap to run a map,
you just use it to reflect the sky on different materials..

The env_cubemap should be found in the enities menu, have a look again. If you can't find it, you might need to get a new fgd, but I don't know where to download the HL2 fgd.

If it's OK to ask an other question,,
I need this boat to be use able,, not so you can control it, but just sit in it, and not be able to move away.
Like, when you sit in the buggy,, you know..

But the boat is not going to be controlable.

How do I make the player stick to the boat when the player press "E" (USE-key, E is standard)

Yes, well, the boat is made by 1 brush, with func_phys box,
but you cant see the brush..
The brushes around it is func_brush, parent: the brush with func_physbox..
This works, because, the boat is moving realistic when it just lies on the water, but it won't go down at hills.. :/

Trigger_push? I've never used that one,, but I'l try..

I'm making a boat, and I want it to go after a track.
So I,, sorry, I've lost the word, but here is what I did:

And, as you can se, the boat just lies there, in the middle of everything, not moving down!

So I thought, maby I could use the "thrust effect" from Garry's mod.
If you have played GM, you know what I mean.

The thrust will push the boat forward, and if I make a trigger at each hill, wich make the thrust thingy go faster..

The importand thing is, that the ship must be "free" (not following path_tracks,,, path_corners)
It must be full source.

And here's whats wrong,, how do I make one of these trusts?
If you know, please help me.. :)

Why not make an anti-spam system, based on cookies/sessions.
If, you got the cookie, you are not able to post, if you don't have to cookie, then you may post!
After each post, the cookie is created and a remove timer is set on for XX.XX minutes. Then, after "XX.XX minutes", you can post again, because the cookie has removed itself. :D
I use that system on my site, and it works great!

Well one way, off the top of my head:
You can make the building itself into a func_breakable and set it to break only when triggered. Put another func_breakable inside the building where a bullet can't hit it and have it target the func_breakable you made the building out of. Make the player throw a grenade or other explosive through a window or something to destroy the breakable inside, which destroys the building.
Isn't the brushes in HL made to be solid against explosions?
I mean,, the explosions don't go through walls, to make it able to take cover behind something.. :S

Ok, this happened today, when I just got an steam update.
I updated steam, played some CS.. blah blah blah, loged out from my Xp account = loged out from steam too, later, I loged in again, started source SDK, SDK updated itself,, and then, when I tried to open hammer, I got this error:
Fatal Error
Can't find steam app user info

What is going on?
Steam stops me from making maps! O.o

Do you know how to fix this? Please help me. =)

(searched the forums and didn't find anything)

I just made a dedicated server, and now, I'm trying to make it run my new map DM_arctic_flare, but I can't find it in the list.
I tried to write it in the console ( map DM_arctic_flare ) but nothing happend, it just said that the map couldn't be found.

So, how do I run my new map? :S
