About that "Feeling" Kasperg...
When I stepped out the train in beginning of hl2 I thought..
Sjeesh a train station with citizens getting guarded that scream they want to go home.... Great.
But in half-life I had the feeling straight away.
The train ride I loved(love!) it! Seeing all kinds of different things.
Now we got the pod ride but that will never beat the train ride and it was boring seeing the same things.
But anyway let me put it this way. In half-life every time something else happened.. it was misterious. (is that the word?) Okay in each vent corner was a headcrab but that's not what I mean.

The Combine vs. gordan and the zombie vs. gordan got me bored.

Make a output for to trigger the point_viewcontrol.
I can enable/disable it. But 1 thing I don't get.
My output named, I can choose of these : OnEndFollow, Onuser1/2/3/4.
What does the OnEndFollow mean? If I choose this one and enable it (via this input option) does it work then?

CS itself is also crap.
Why? Because if you pwn your a cheater....
Most CS players take the game to serious.
They allways whine.
They allways think there uber l33t and all of that.
They allways use colt and ak.
They allways play the same maps.

To be honest. I started out mapping for half-life itself. I mapped for it for about a year I guess. Then I started to map for hl2 in early 2005.
I learned mapping on my own. I opened the editor and started to do things. Both half-life and hl2. I did a few tuts but most I learned on my own by looking at poeple's questions. So some basic things I never knew since I never did a "how do I create my own room" tutorial or something. 1 year half-life and about 6 months half-life 2 seems long and it is. But I don't map so much. 1 hour a day. Wich is mostly nothing.

Ok here's the deal.

There is a option called create a server.
If you wish to change level typ this in your console :
changelevel mapname or map mapname
You can create a server with a router but it's not visible for other players then. So nobody will join your server. You need to turn it off to do so. It's a few button work. A router gives internet connection to different computers.
A dedicated server makes a server for other poeple with good ping.
But you can't join it. You can't do this while having a router either.

In the start your view will become black and some text will come up..
I triggered a env_Fade and a game_Text.
Works fine!
After The text is done and the fade is over.
The players view. (you got no weapons offcourse) most follow a path.
Then after it's done the screen will fade again with some text. And after that a other camara will follow a other path... then another fades come up with the end.
Now I normally did this with a trigger_camara in half-life 1 but this entity is no more in hl2 If you've seen cutscene you know what kind of thing I want to do.

Why? Team fortress is funny, cool and fast! Besides.. it's a classic!
Vampire Slayer is just different. I love leaping in the darkness as a vampire and hunt down my blood!
Or as a slayer trying to avoid leaping and just insta-shoot down a vampire and kill him with my stake!!! It's really cool to pwn 5 vampires in your own. It's a teamplay mod. If you walk on your own you will die instantly.. =p

He mapped before and he told me the basics.
I never... never.. did any tutorials.
I made custom blocky fun maps for my tfc clan with server.
Then I found TWHL. It helped me a lot.
I created a account but I lost my password.
I created another... lost it again.
I created another... Also lost that one!
I created this one when I started to map for source.
I wrote done my password. The reason why I lost it all the time is because I could not remember it since I had thousands accounts with different passwords... I got confused =/
Then in start 2005 I found out at source mapping.
And so it begon all over again.
