Hey guys, I?m doing a volumetric lightning effect on the little house i?m making, and I just need an effect similar to light_spot to complete it, thing is that light_spot gives us a circular light spot, and I want it to be retangular, is there a way to do it?

I want a light spot only over the retangle i?ve terribly drawn (lol).

Hey guys, i?m trying to add some parallax mapping in the awp_lego level, i?ve followed some tutorials, but it?s the same thing as before !

Check what i?ve made (I didn?t change the original textures, I only added a height texture and changed the VMT, that folder is inside cstrike/materials)

Pakrat did the job, but thanks anyway. Yep, I know GCF, I use it alot, but the textures of users made maps are INSIDE the BSP.

Hey people, I wanna know how to extract textures of a map, in BSP, because I have the awp_lego in VMF, but it is all white. I want the texures files because I will implement parallax mapping to them. Thanks.

there?s a way you can make breakable blocks to look like normal blocks. Just tie the non-breakable blocks to some useless entity, like func_detail, so it will act like a brush based entity, but will not be breakable.

What about HL2:DM ? i think it would be the most apropriete game in the "old source" to have the "new source" features enabled. i dont think that cs source will look good with motion blur, its seems.... strange.

Hey guys, with the new orange box update with dynamic shadows and things like that, the source is now better. But can i use the new resources ( like the dynamic shadows ) in a counter strike source map or in any older source games, like DoD ? Cus imagine coutner strike with the motion blur and dynamic shadows enabled ?!?!?

it?s very strange, but it?s awesome, it?s the first game that it?s cheaper in Brazil than in steam. and i want the box with the DvDs. 49 USD vs. 99R$
1 U$ = ~ 1,86 R$. and i?lll have the box. comparing, dark messiah is 19 U$ in steam and 99 R$ in brazil. so orange box is cheap here. but i don?t understand how the guy made the map only playable with EP1. i thought that it would need source sdk base, not EP 1 !

i?ve downloaded EP.1 in the time it was released, but as i apreciate valve?s work i?ll buy the orange box, as soon as it arrivesa here at the stores in Brazil. so i was trying some mods to pass the time, waiting for it to arrive. how can i make a map that requires EP1 ? i tought it would need the source SDK BASE, not the Episode. so if i wanna make a map with depth of field i must have EP2 and the player too, as depth of field was introduced in the EP2 ? am i right ?

Minerva metasis is a very popular mod. i played the first chapter, but now the 3rd has been released and the others re-masterized with HDR. but i can?t play them anymore, they need half life 2 episode 1, WHY ? i dont have it but i played the first one. i know this might not be the right setion, but i have no time... thanks.

oh thanks, and i need this cus i wanna see the far the source engine reach. i wanna make a perfect map to demonstrate the full potential of the source, not a playable map, but a map to people see that it?s possible to make better things in source. i?m thinking of making a new tree model just like in dark messiah, with animated leaves falling down.

i have aa room with 4 corners ( duh ?: ) and one of them always is glitched. what?s stretching ? i can put some boxes there to hide the buggy thing anyways.

When i load my map in the game it just stops loading and there?s a message in console :

Executing listen server config file
Warning: Table modelprecache is full, can't add models/weapons/w_c4_planted.mdl
couldn't exec listenserver.cfg

Host_Error: CVEngineServer::PrecacheModel: 'models/weapons/w_c4_planted.mdl' overflow, too many models

Only my map crashes =/

i just found something in my compile window:

And the 2 brushes are causing themselfs a LEAK !!! I tried all , i placed both brushes in a nodraw cube but they still cause leak, some how in pointfile , the red line makes a lot of strange movements and the line starts in the areaportal and ends in the illusionary !

PLZ HELP !!!!!!!!!!

Hi !
I?m having a problem with shadows in my map.
I wanna make like the light in Half life 2: Loast Coast
( the churc one that shows when you break the window)
So i have added a window with a few wooden breakeble brushes, enabeling shadows, but look, the wooden shadows are not showing !!

And i?m not getting a nice effect when i destroy the blocks.
The only effect i get is the sun, but i whant a light sorce to enter in the room and iluminate it , just like in HF2 LC.

I?m having soem troubles with the water , you can see it in the pictore above, when i get closer to the waterfal ( i?ll make it ) my water gets black, and the top river is black in the sides ( where i used nodraw) but perfect in top, how can i correct the glitch, and i wanna know how can i add a good waterfalll ( step by step)

I wanna know how can i make a " invisible wall" , i used toolsinvisible, but it looks like in the editor when you enter in the game , some purple boxes, and if i use nodraw is causes leak.
Example : like in oficial css maps , they don?t "end" they have like a invisible wall that blocks you to pass that limit, making the map to look more realistic.

EDITED : Close this , please , i just noticed that i had acidently chreated a displacement in the brush. It?s fine now xD !!
