NO not BLOWS YOU UP BOOOOM!!!!!!!!!! but the wind makes a great force that causes you to be lifted into the air. Just don't make electrical wires that zap you at the top.

its a great Idea, but the screenshots are wierd. Its a whole different type of game since it says "Non combat MODES!!" Whats a game like HL without combat??? looks to RPG-ish

All you need to do in an example map superMechacow is a player start, a big box as a room, a trigger, and an ambiance_Generic thing. If you do make one, I would prefer it to be a custom sound.

well, you can allways make the whole elev box tied to the train entity and different doors at each stop, but seeing the wall outside of the whole where the doors are move would ruin the effect.

ex:

The elevator is a big box with a hole al big as the door. The door is not attached to it.

When you press the button, the elevator moves up, but the hole thats open shows the wall going past it (Bad effect but works) when it gets to each stop, there is a new button and a new door.

The tut is very easy.

just follow it veeery carefully.

It worked for me. I tried it and now I know how to make your elevator. Just use the func_train thing.

Make your elevator, then tie it to the func_train entity.

Make point based entities, the path_corner ones were you want your train to go.it doesn't matter where you put the elevator, but the path_corners matter.

name the elevator something.

make the elevator's first stop target to the name of the first path_corner.

make the first path_corner's next stop the other one, and vise versa.(Not spelled right, I know.)

make a brush based func_button.

Make the button target the name of the elevator.

I'm not shure if it works, but I'll look at what I wrote then try it. I might have typed it wrong since I did this in like a minute.

There is no way. If you make a func train and put it in a room with a light, then make it move into a dark room, the light of where the light in the first room shines on it will still be there. A glitch.

OH, and 1 more thing, in my first thing, make the damage a lot so the dude doesn't just get hurt a little. I think your wrong, cause whenever I fall from great distances, I die, not just loose 10 health. somethings wrong GKid... :o

make a block with the aaa trigger texture, then tie to entity and make it a trigger hurt.

If I was wrong there, then make a point based trigger hurt and make a block with the aaa triger texture and tie it to a trigger_once. Then make it activate your trigger hurt by useing the target thingy in the entity attributes. put the name of your trigger hurt there. I hope I'm right and didn't waste your time. :)
