Also, would he be able to conceal a chainsaw (since Bratty used that as an example) or a bow? I think not.

@Jahzel: This isn't about just plain banning firearms. It's about how easy it is to buy lethal weaponry. Do you think it's right that this guy could buy a gun just like that. As long as you got the money, you can buy a weapon.

Cho paid $571 for a 9 mm Glock 19 pistol just over a month ago, the owner of Roanoke Firearms told CNN Tuesday. He also used a .22-caliber Walther pistol in the attack, police said.

John Markell said Cho was very low-key when he purchased the Glock and 50 rounds of ammunition with a credit card in an "unremarkable" purchase.

Cho presented three forms of identification and did not say why he wanted the gun, Markell said.
Quoted from CNN.

I'm disgusted by how easy it is to just go and buy a gun in America. How can you defend those gun laws when it's obvious that anyone can get their hands on a firearm, no questions asked.

Incidents like this will continue to happen, and I guess it will only get worse.

Well, there was one in Germany (not 100% sure though, might've been Holland) a few years ago. But other than that, I don't think I've heard of any outside the States.

Edit: Man, Thompson is a real prick.

I had that same card a few years back, and yes, it should be able to play DVD's just fine. I ran that resolution too.

Again, try another program, at least you'll know if it's your card's fault or (more likely) WMP's.

Or just go VLC, problem solved. It's a small program too, don't take up much space.

I play DVDs just fine in WMP11. I prefer VLC for it though.

Here's the secret: Insert disc, press play.

I hear ya. Using WMP myself and I see nothing wrong with it, it might not have a lot of cool features and whatnot, but it plays music just fine!

Yeah, drivers are usually the culprit when it comes to source. I've had huge differences in fps with different versions of my catalyst drivers (I'm assuming Nvidia is no different).

Oh, and validate your CSS, it works sometimes.

I guess that's an option.. more expenses sigh..

Underclocking it didn't really work either, when i press "set clock" it gives me grey stripes all over the screen and then reboots after, say, 20sec.

It doesn't have an external power source. it gets it directly from the Pci-express slot. Yes, I've checked, I thought it would need one, so I even bought the cable for it.

my psu is 305W. not much I know, but it should be enough, since it doesn't need more juice than the pci-express slot can provide.

@Alex, when it's not idle it's rebooting my system :P
I tried loading Oblivion and then tabbing out to read the temp. I thought saw a 69 degree temperature, but then those lines started appearing, making it impossible to read.

It's a x1650xt (Sapphire) by the way,

@ZL, yeah sorry about that, was trying to get as much info in as possible in between reboots, forgot the most important thing :P

Thanks for the feedback, I have thought about underclocking it slightly, at least until I can buy a better fan, the stock one seems to suck ass.

Okay, so when I'm using my new gpu, it's at 51 degrees when idling, and as soon as I start a 3D-app, stripes and odd colors appear all over the screen.

Is it overheating? I mean, the stock cooler should if I may say so be able to handle Oblivion for more than 20 seconds.
