Archive: Gamedesign.net RUST (RUST)
Gamedesign.net was a large network of hosted sites, all related to editing Quake and associated games. It was online between 1999 and 2007. The site, part of the now-defunct
UGO network, stopped working in 2007, and eventually redirected to another site known as Atomic Gamer. Atomic Gamer was an independent gaming news site which hosted some sub-sites, including some of the sites from the Gamedesign.net network. Atomic Gamer itself went offline in 2015 - many of the files it hosted are available on the
Internet Archive, but not all.
This archive is an attempt to restore the information from the "main" site of Gamedesign.net - the editing collective known as RUST. Currently we are hosting all the tutorials for Half-Life, most with images and some with examples files as well. For many of the missing files, it may not be possible to recover them. In that case, we will eventually recreate them to ensure the content of the articles still makes sense and is useful.
