@Daub & Collapse: Thanks, was about time
@Stojke: Had a similar AMD HD 2600 Pro, and I gotta say, after trying this thing with a couple of games, the only ones giving it a hard time were Crysis at 1440x900 with everything cranked up to max, and Just Cause 2. But with a few minor compromises, even those ran at a constant 20-30 FPS.

Haven't tried it under Win7 either, but there's supposedly an unofficial Win7/Vista patch for it with widescreen support. So I'm guessing it should run.

Intel GMA is balls, you should avoid it like the devil. And yeah, as crollo said, netbooks aren't designed for games at all (although HL is in fact 12 years old) and 1024x600 is not that common of a resolution, not all games support it.

Bridge cameras are a nice start if you want to go for still photography, but the 1920p FULLHDOMGLOLZ stickers are mostly there to fool you in. True, the videos are high-res and sharp, but in most cases they don't have the fine controls of 150$ budget camcorders.
I'm not familiar with the video specs of this camera, but it mostly means that there are no manual focus and exposure settings and no picture stabilization during the shoot (which comes in handy above 5x zoom if your not using a tripod).
Of course it also comes down to how professionally you want to shoot your videos (I'm more into videoshooting than still photography), so if you're OK with auto-mode, the image quality is definitely going to be nice

I had exactly the opposite feelings about the game. After the first 2 hours, you pretty much see everything in terms of scariness and even in the beginning they're dull and boring. It comes nowhere near the Silent Hill games.
On the other hand, the story was the only thing pushing me until the end, now that was interesting and mind-fucky. Atmosphere is okay too, but gameplay-wise it's predictable and boring.
Edit: Yeah, Remedy, for the love of God, go back to making action games.

I saw it like three years ago, sadly I've also quite forgotten the storyline, but I remember that it was awesome. Should rewatch it sometime in the near future :/

Doh, fuck imageshack. Fix'd.
@Tito: Not quite, only 18, that's how many holes the thing had. And yeah, it was heavy, but there were always two of us taking it down to the beach, plus we've been doing it every day for more than a week, so we've gotten used to it.

Sounds pretty much like the concept of Quake. That worked.
Perhaps put those maps together - as some sort of episode - which are somewhat similar. But that depends on how many maps you have, if it even makes sense to split them in separate episodes/chapters.

@raver: Who said anything about the absence of gals?
@Daub: Sadly, the Murphy Law of festivals was present, i.e. it was rainy all the way through. So I didn't really take pics, only a few with my phone, when we were in our tent observing a massive hail D:

Pretty fucking sweet for roughly 80 USD.

Exclusive Video Review:
"If you give nonsense context and a nice wrapping it works just fine."
Bottom Line:
On the whole I kinda like this little killbox of a deathmatch map. It just serves to show how to pull off something ambitious and unusual.I'm not familiar with the video specs of this camera, but it mostly means that there are no manual focus and exposure settings and no picture stabilization during the shoot (which comes in handy above 5x zoom if your not using a tripod).

So yeah, 3x Congratulations!
Laugh out fucking loud.

Cute little dirtbag <3
I kinda have the strange feeling, that you and Huntey are gonna come together for quite a few kick-ass, beer-fueled parties in the following years ;D
