The map is quite cool indeed, certainly a lot better than de_nightshift, but still could use some improvements. Start learning how to make custom textures, they will help your maps look unique from the rest.

+1 on writing your ideas down on paper. All you need is a vague reminder; your memory will do the rest. Having the idea down on paper actually makes it much, much easier to organize things later, too.
