"but i've heard Dundee's night life is amazing"
Been working/studying there for over 3 yrs now, it's got plenty of standard student-oriented venues, etc., but nothing truly amazing or comparable to say Edinburgh. I guess it's good for a town of its size, but that's about it.
The universities are great though, and Dundee Uni degrees have a bit of prestige to them as well.

Haven't you watched 2012(film)? In the case of a REAL apocalypse, no one will tell you and all the world leaders and rich fatcats will secretly meet up in the himalayas with their secret space shuttles prepared and ready to flee, leaving the common peeps to their fate

My uni's in Bolton, it's a shit hole, and so is Manchester. But there are loads of cool people studying at the Uni I get to hang around with, no matter where you go there will always be new friends to meet, and It's a given that any Uni you go to, there will be crazy things going on, unless you go to some ridiculously posh Uni.

For me the terrorists are not so hard to hit hehe. Yeah, it's not entirely horror, but it's the only one that thruly scared me - HL2's 'We don't go to Ravenholm...' scared me only the first time. It just lacks the horror ambiencies and it is made in a village, not in a tight enclosed area, where you're alone.

Heh, I know what u mean, but when I was searching for a name for a run down city, I thought "lets try and search for de_dystopia on google" and when it didn't turn up anything I started the project and finished it for the TR contest on GB. After that I found out about your map being called fy_dystopia (Allso love the de_abducted xD), I mean I saw it a long time ago, but forgot its name through time. DDR was made because I wasn't satisfied with DD, so I remade it into what it is now
You can check out this maps predecessor on GB if ur still going there, but It is too buggy to be played and has some serious errs, or de_dreamer, you might like their style
O, and an update of this map is to be expected, I let timmycakes try and optimize it a bit more then I did, and I might boost the light leves a bit to suite gameplay more.

The 'moving light' section was actually a wrong path, so to speak. Progression of mod is unrelated to that section at all.
I played paranoia years ago already. It's not entirely a horror mod, especially since there's loud ROCK music everywhere. I remember it having very limited ammo and how the terrorists are so hard to hit even with iron sights. Also I played it back when I was using WON, so switching to OpenGL was a pain too (good thing I wasn't playing on Steam, or I woulda gotten VACBANNED)

Well, if you want a really scarry mod - Paranoia for HL1 is your choice!
And no, abandoned KROT-1 lab full of zombies is not the top. Neither the game is relevant even a bit to HL1 itself. Just uses the engine and theme - escape alive after a total disaster happends. That mod kept me paranoid for weeks - or I should say months after I completed it. I never played it again - it was too scary for me...

I gave this a shot a while ago, didn't actually finish it. The moving light section bugged up on me big time and the Thing (I get that reference!) would appear and disappear at random, instead of when it logically was supposed to.
I love the mood, and the awesome, awesome film it's alluding to, but it was too buggy and the puzzle gameplay was too "safe" and predictable to really enjoy.

Hell, probably a good move by the movie makers... you know how many people are going to watch this, whether or not they like the concept of the movie, just because "it's got GLaDOS in it"?

I got me these in NY. Best I've ever had. Then again, there has to be a difference between $15 headphones and $100 headphones or you're either deaf or an idiot.

It's nice to see a map where the terrorists are actually good guys for once
The map itself is really great, I won't go into much detail, but I think it's well thought through, and it's great that you added a little story to it.

Thank you.
The sound drops for some reason I'm not aware of, I think it might be that it is due to only 1 ambient generic being in the room, but when I put more then 1, the ambient generics went out of sync so fast that I didn't get to say showelpicks! But I think I wont be changing the map anymore, I just ain't got the will to do it

Anyway, thx for the comment

BTW, interesting map and idea overall, a bit dark though
But ether way, it gives me a really good feel while playing
4 stars just cause its scaled more then it should be.
Might come in handy if ur skeptic about DL-ing the map, but I suggest u play it first

I wanted to see the T's on the good side for once, so I made a small story for 'em

And thx again for the rate and comment
Height scale is still i little big in places(curbs, stairs, top-stairs railing, but other than that i love it.
A note on the sound as well, it drops off very sharply from one place to another.. but i don't know how to fix that in gs.
anyhoo i really, really love this theme, well done!
