The reason this is so late is because the cake decorator couldn't figure out how to fit your name onto the cake.

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it

hlrad: Error: No Lights!
Description: lighting of map halted (I assume you do not want a pitch black map!)
Howto Fix: Put some lights in the map.

I have my retirement planned out. I have so many projects that I am interested in doing.

I plan to go back to school and perhaps get a creative writing degree. I have an outline for a historic fiction set in WWII China (Shanghai, to be exact). I created a new YouTube channel about ADHD last week. And I plan to be involved with the Rotary Club for many decades to come.

Probably replacing all instances of vec_3t with Vector and DotProduct with FDotProduct should do the trick
Commented 3 years ago2021-09-10 20:09:53 UTC in vault item: awp_india_minecraft [Texture Change] Comment #103715
Your map is very faithful to the original awp_india map, however it has some small changes like the position of the boxes and I also think the sizes of the boxes are different. Textures are good and map lighting is very good better (Better than the awp_india). Something that surprised me is that your map doesn't look like a CS 1.6 map to me, but it looks more like a CS GO or CS Source map to me (Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating) and since nothing is perfect, these are the bugs I found on your map:
Valve pls fix

What do you suppose will occupy your time if you retire? Is it normal for doctors to retire relatively young, or only the Young doctors specifically?

Tastes mature as we do - you'll just have to get obsessively into train simulators instead of shooters :)

It's good to see you again, and I'm glad things are going well (all things considered anyhow). Its nuts to me that Scott's in high school already - I remember being on TWHL when he was born!

Tastes change over time. I know I don't get as captivated by action games as I used to when I was a kid, (I do still enjoy them!) and often times I'll want to relax with something a bit more slow-paced. Could be you've lost interest in gaming in general, but maybe you just need to try some new genres, find something that helps you unwind instead?

Nice to get an update from you!

I don't know about my testosterone levels, but I too lost interest in gaming for quite some time. I only play a few video games occasionally nowadays, making me a casual gamer at best.
Commented 3 years ago2021-09-08 10:14:02 UTC in journal: Update Comment #103711
Always good to see an update from you, Satch, especially one so positive.

I made a recent video update regarding the Core and the main point was "People change." I don't think I'm going to be done with gaming for quite some time yet, but I have started to appreciate more classic titles recently. Modern RPGs are potentially getting very exciting, but FPS games I will much sooner fire up Doom or Duke 3D before any recent releases. Makes sense that when I actually started working with an actual development company it was one focusing on the retro games market. :D

Sometimes man has to remind himself of who he once was in order to continue to enjoy the things he once used to. Sometimes we enjoyed one thing that we went into a completely different environment just for it, once it disappeared from there we stayed hoping it would come back eventually as to not loose our footing. Time to let go sooner or late, right? :)

Personally I found my self enjoying modifications for older games (Like Duke Nukem), but all in all besides the personal excitement its the people that brought things together when more of us find joy in the same hobby.

Godspeed.

Detail is phenomenal, lighting great. It's a little cramped feeling for me and some of the areas could have been larger, a lot was crammed into a small amount of space, overall though this is an incredible map, bravo.

Commented 3 years ago2021-09-02 12:07:38 UTC in wiki page: trigger_playerfreeze (Half-Life: Blue-Shift) Comment #103700
It's a point entity, not a brush one.

If you open the map (BSP file) that correspond to Blue-Shift's outro (ba_outro.bsp) with a decent text editor like Notepad++ and you go to the entity lump or search for trigger_playerfreeze, you will notice that the entity does not have a model key/value pair.

All brush entities have a model key/value pair.
