Windows XP patch thing? :o

I got some tiny little VOX patch thing that did squat a while ago.

And yes, the OST's to all the games are quite win.

Hm did you install the Windows XP patch thing? : S If you can't get past that bit there's always videos on YouTube and the Twin Snakes version which is more updated :>

I'm actually listening to the end song of MSG1. Good song!

Heh, i'm looking to play through all 4 in order, unfortunately MGS started randomly quitting on my PC last night. :<

Just got up to the Hind D battle with Liquid and POOF, quits.

Madcow I write reviews on my blog. Long ones.

Strider: Yeah I started off with MGS2 and then played MGS3. After that I wanted more so I got MGS1 for PC and that was the last MGS I played.

I look forward to ending Liquid's game!

I never get the point of not-including your textures into your BSP file. Now you have single .wad files. If you miss one of them, its very hard to find it back.

Oke I played the map, Sadly I had very bad FPS but I could test it. Now what ive seen is that you can improve your map ALLOT. First of all, give the faces the player normally cant see a NULL texture. IT will save ALLOT of r_speeds. Because you got everything textured.

Oooh oke :) Because when you click on "[More Screenshots]" you see this text: "There are no additional screenshots for this map yet.". But i quess there is no feature for it.

You can't. You can only add one, at least for now.

Aah, I see. Wow, good job for just 4 days then. :)

Oh, I forgot to mention that, but you can embed files into your map, including navigation files. Pakrat is a great tool for that, with it's auto-scan mode.

Thanks, Captain P. I was planning to add more details, but I ran out of time. With a full-time job, fatherhood, and other gaming obligations, I only had four days to make this map. :P

If anyone wants to play this map with bots, I have a navigational file that has been manually tuned.

You can download it here.

I'm crazy about the MGS games lately, I've.. aquired the first on PC and picked up 2 and 3 for $50 on eBay recently. Pretty excited for MGS4 too, so much that I actually want a PS3 to play it (and one or two other games, like LittleBigPlanet).

I've never wanted a PS3 before. D:

Nothing to do. Why not get TF2 achievements if you haven't, make a map, play old games you used to play etc

This map is awesome! Great gameplay, great textures. The flame sprites (I assume they're sprites) when you blow up the target stay around during subsequent rounds, and that's annoying. (Maybe that's my renderer being stupid.) Try making the boat a vehicle, so you can take it to more places than just the main island and the lighthouse island.

A very good killbox map, except that it's a little too big. As it is, you would need a huge number of players to have good action.

it really would look better with a glass texture instead of nothing

Wow,

stunning feedback.

Now I'm really motivated to finish my map pack of seven DoD:S maps (you were asking for more hehe). Had my doubts after one and a half years of work on it...

I've also been working on a system to use that map pack to reduce the size of the .bsps by two thirds, so no more MB shockers :).

The 77 MB indeed are a result of the tons of custom materials...

Rc2 will be improved a lot in many aspects. Looking forward to presenting it here!

Cheers & thanks everybody,

Albatros

Edit: they should make steel man lol

Nosferatu is from 1922, so I guess that doesn't say that much about the laws today.

I'm pretty sure these would fall into the 'parody' genre, and there are a whole manor of laws to protect parodies and anyone who produces them.

Apparently, it said that when Nosferatu first came out, it was banned due to having too many similarities to Dracula.

Copyright is all about the theft of "content" without the proper authority and all that crap. If they had called it Alien Vs. Predator: (Crappy SubTitle Here) then they would have been sued. Same as if they had used footage from AvP.

However this is a budget, knock-off movie and while the stories may be similar it will be all original footage shot by a different production company and blah blah blah.

If it was illegal to use "similar" plotlines in movies and games then there would only be something like 50 games and movies in the world. Things like spoofs and most porno movies would be non-existant and that my friend would be a very sad world indeed.
