My first flight went extremely well. Even though I've never flown before, I had sole command of the aircraft during taxing, takeoff, and turns. I flew the plane to Catalina, an island off the coast of California. The instructor landed the plane.
What I found interesting is that when I play FPS games, I always have to invert the y-axis from the default mouse control. Yet this is the correct maneuver in an aircraft--moving the yoke forward brings the pitch down, and pulling it aft causes the pitch to go up. This was the original default setting in Doom.

That's how most children learn to walk.
As long as a trusted adult is holding her hand, she can walk all day. It's like that feather Dumbo holds while flying. It's purely psychological.
It's not exactly related, but I posted this video in the morning about having the confidence to deal with rejections. It's the fear of failure that ensures failure becomes reality.
A team of 16 students from each sister city build landmarks of their city, and then the two teams from both cities collaborate to build a bridge connecting the two cities--all in Minecraft, of course.

I have my retirement planned out. I have so many projects that I am interested in doing.
I plan to go back to school and perhaps get a creative writing degree. I have an outline for a historic fiction set in WWII China (Shanghai, to be exact). I created a new YouTube channel about ADHD last week. And I plan to be involved with the Rotary Club for many decades to come.
Archie, are you a dad?
It's almost like starting over, meeting new patients and working with new nurses and colleagues.
I need to upgrade my computer before it can play the latest Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Do you want to fly?
It was a sure sign that my PSU died.
"I am also Chinese."
Now you can start creating more architecture within the map.
I am turning 50 in six days.
Sorry you're stuck in such a hard place now. I agree with everyone else that things will be brighter.
I had to fight my way through middle school, and I am a doctor and a pilot now. There's hope for you yet.

I've never been so happy to turn 50. I qualify for the 4th dose of the COVID vaccine.

Too bad that I don't map anymore, and my son has taken up soccer and chess as his passion. He does know his way around Hammer though.
The other one I've been working on for more than a decade. It's called "The Hidden Patriot". It's a historical fiction based on WWII Shanghai.
This is the website I created for our Rotary Club: https://www.signalhillrotary.org/
I am sure you can discern the similarities between the two sites.
Now I watch him play. He's enjoying Red Dead Redemption II now.

Wow! College. That was in 1991 for me.
Enjoy every moment. They grow up way too fast.
Wow! Captain P! I haven't heard from you for so long.
You were my early mapping mentor. Congratulations on your daughter. How old is she now?
