System Shock 2 is in my opinion, one of the scariest games I've ever played. Its got EXTREMELY dated graphics (looks worse than half life but came out after it, what?) and it isn't a dark game in terms of environment at all. (There's no flashlight nor any need for one)
The real thing that makes it scary, is randomly spawning enemies. As you backtrack through corridors you thought deserted, and you hear noises, and wonder if those are just scripted, or if something is really there with you, or having that moment of "OH HOLY SHIT" when you happen upon a creature that wasn't there in any one of your other 9000 play-throughs.
It also creates a creepy atmosphere without overusing darkness, which contributed greatly.
EDIT: And then literally seconds after I posted, I clicked on PB's blog link and realized he already talked about SS2 to some length. So just go read that.

I'm not really sure if I should download it when it comes and install it, or just wait until my new computer gets here and play it on that.
I mean I only have around 2 days off before I get my computer, and I'll be spending them making sure I know how to drive sufficiently to obtain my license. So not much gaming time to speak of.
Ill probably just wait, and enjoy it to its fullest on an actual day off. I will probably finish it in one sitting in that case.

I love how Archie never fails to be called ignorant for having some of the most open minded and tolerant opinions on this site, by people with some of the most close minded opinions.

I'm still trying to figure out whether he means better than suicide, or worse than suicide. And then whether that means UDK is a good thing, or a bad thing.

"Hot Pursuit is such a broken, consoletarded game I genuinely regret buying it - and I very, very rarely regret buying games. "
This.
Anyway, Hlife hotdog's problem reminds me of a problem I was having on Metro 2033 where a level would crash at the same spot if you crouched at any point during the level. At least that one was workaround...able. I hate game breaking bugs. Its frustrating because im willing to put up with a lot of shit to play a good game, (Bethesda anyone?) but when it just doesn't work. period. I get angry
Yes its wired, and it doesn't have any fancy shortcut keys, but its lasted for 5 years so far (with no damage except the key paint coming off on my A, Shift, and C keys (yeah I don't know why I apparently hit C so much)
Its back light is pretty nice, it actually makes the keys EASIER to see in the dark, which is more than can be said for most of the illuminated keyboards I've tried. Good for my late night gaming sessions.
Problem is, its slightly more expensive than your logitech there.
I am very interested in this, being a huge SimCity fan, but I'm still fairly skeptical.
Especially at 60$ price point.

As bad as that might sound, im a lot more fit than I was, say, 4 months ago.

@Tetsu: That's really awesome! Good luck, although like jeff said, you're not gonna need it.
Seriously what the fuck?
Interesting.
but then it started updating (without being started up or anything) while I was playing an online game, slowing me to 2 fps.
It is no longer on my computer.
Well, it was more of a chuckle, but you get the point.
Edit: wait duh, Lukes here too, doesn't matter i'm still several states away.
I think im hitting the credit limit at the bank of luck.
But the page took 3 times as long to load.
Im glad im not the only one who killed that guy to get the m249 early.
Too bad you have to make do with one clip for those 5 chapters.
This.

My journal wouldve just said "Screw you all, im tired. seeya tommorow."
Half-Life 2 and its episodes are much easier in that respect.
I'm gonna have to start doing these

Is there something other than the obvious going on here?
Aka you're trying to hard for it to be even slightly amusing.
